Book your next trip with Raised Here Charters LLC and find out what fishing in Nokomis is all about. Captain Greg will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of professional experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Snowy Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Kingfish, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and anything else that bites. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Greg operates a 32’ Center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. There’s no need to buy a fishing license. Just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask, and your captain can tell you more.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. It’s always wise to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
