Awesome day fishing with captain James. We headed out early at 6am because he said it would be better for striped bass and boy was it. We started in one spot and they weren’t hitting so we quickly moved and then found a spot where they were on fire! All keepers! We even caught some large cats. We are so glad we booked our first Lake Conroe fishing trip with Captain James and Fish Head Water Sports! Our Captain had extensive knowledge of the lake and knew how to find great pockets of fish. My wife and I went out for a 5 hour trip. We left the dock at 6 am to start our fishing trip for hybrids. We caught 2 hybrids that were keepers and caught some more hybrids that unfortunately werent keepers. capt james was open to my wants and needs from the very beginning and was open to multiple locations searching for what was best for what i was looking for, very knowledgeable of the lake , i maxed out in the hybrids and i plan on additional trips with him.

We were here visiting a family member and decided on a fishing trip. It was a cold windy day, wasn’t the best day for fishing but James worked hard to find us some fish. Great day and a fun time!
