Excited to catch some fish in Morehead City? Salty Affairs Sportfishing is here to make it happen! Your guide for the day is Captain Joey Vickers, offering years of sportfishing experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, King Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper, Black Seabass, Spanish Mackerel, Gray Triggerfish, and plenty more. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Trips can be hands-on or laid back depending on your preference
You'll find yourself aboard a 24' Center console with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, rigged baits, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Salty Affairs Sportfishing welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Don't leave home without snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Salty Affairs Sportfishing!

A quick family getaway made better in every way by Capt Joey and Randy! They made sure we stayed in the fish and saw different parts of the islands! The boat was smooth, well equipped and clean! Our kids had a blast!

Both guys went above and beyond to try and find some fish for my son. We had a great day, we did catch some trigger fish and snapper! Overall great experience and I would book again!

Thank you guys for fishing with us today. Yall were a great crew, and next time we're loading the cooler, and will have a pre trip talk with the conservationist.

Means my some did the 6 hour trip. It was awesome we caught our limit on several different fish. The captain and mate was really good with us. I would highly recommend them.
1st quided fishing trip at the Crystal Coast! I lucked out in being the only customer today. Jo did a great job and we caught a lot of Spanish Mackerel. I am recommending this guide.
Captain Joey was great on this trip. He knew what he was doing, and knew where the right places to go were. He made sure I caught the exact fish I was hoping to catch, 5 of them in fact! We even stayed out an extra hour because we were having so much fun. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely book with him again
I grew up in South Florida and have been fishing since I can remember. Started out fishing in the river with my dad and friend every day I could, which turned into fishing before work for the early morning bite. I then got a taste of the blue water and was hooked. Moved to NC when I was stationed here at Camp Lejeune. After a couple of years away we moved back to the coast in 2020 and I purchased my boat. I made a lot of friends fishing and learned from several charter captains about fishing in NC. I'm pretty much a kid on Christmas morning every time I know I'm going out, and love sharing the thrill, excitement, and memories made when that reel goes off and that fish comes in the boat.
