These waters are known for Amberjack, Bluefish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Seabass, Mahi, Grouper, Cobia, Snapper, Triggerfish, Porgy, Sharks and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! You can expect to do some light or heavy tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized. Trips will be customized to fit your experience level, fish in season, and what kind of fishing you want to do. Please message us with any questions and we'll make sure your trip great!

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! All guests under 16 will need to wear a life vest when boat is moving but we have them on board!

Your day begins aboard a 30 foot center console boat with space for 4 anglers on any Offshore Bottom Fishing Trip with 2 additional riders permitted or 6 Anglers on Nearshore and Trolling trips. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should discuss with the captain if you'd like to catch it yourself at the beginning of your day (this is lots of fun for kids!).

There will be a First Mate on board most trips to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, and a 15–25% tip is customary.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and Captain Nick can tell you more.

It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, non-slip shoes, and snacks/food. Water is included, free of charge. Bundling up for the ride out in the morning is a good idea during cooler months as well, but we also have a cabin to always stay warm and dry in!

Beautiful morning!

It was a great morning on the water, dolphins playing, nice weather until it got hot. Got some keepers , lots of fish but they were small. Great crew!

Totally worth it!

Full Day Offshore-Wrightsville on June 9, 2024 • 4 adults

Captain Nick and his crew know their salt water!  We were invited onto their boat a day early to beat the wind and weather. Although the trip out and back in were long, he navigated us with ease so us land lubbers didn’t get nauseous. The fish were on!! As soon as the weight hit the bottom, fish on! We got so many different species. It was a great experience. He and his first mate were ready to pull them off and load the bait back on. It’s great to see father and son working so well together and made our stay aboard even better.  We were in good hands and plan to charter again SOON.

Memorial Day Weekend 2024 w/CPT Nick & Dom

Full Day Offshore-Wrightsville on May 25, 2024

This is one of the best experiences of my life. CPT Nick & his 1st mate Dom were absolutely dedicated to our group. They did a marvelous job putting us right on top of the fish and they themselves ensured our lines had constant bait.
We loved them and they are really cool people to get to know. Even with our mishaps CPT Nick took us back out and kept the fishing going. Many thanks to him, his 1st mate and his family. You can place your trust in SWF Charters to enjoy something truly worthwhile. See you in July.

Full Day Trip

Full Day Offshore-Wrightsville on January 18, 2024

We went out with SWF for a winter trip. It was cold in the morning (I'll wear more clothes next time because I had to borrow a sweatshirt and gloves from Captain Nick even though he told us to bundle up lol) but the fishing was great and it was warm enough by mid morning!! We got our Sea Bass limit in no time and had to throw back keepers for bigger keepers. We also caught several other kinds of fish and came home with a cooler full! The captain was a lot of fun and we'll definitely go with them again this summer!

Great Trip

The captain was fantastic and managed to plan a trip for us within a very short timeframe. Although the weather wasn't ideal, we still had a lot of fun. I have a 7-year-old son who is very curious and has a lot of questions, but the captain was patient enough to answer all of them. If you have children, this is the perfect charter for your family.
We look forward to our next trip.
