Make the most of your time in Punta Cana and go fishing with Dolly.
Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Red Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Cubera Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Amberjack, Wahoo, Amberjack, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Capt. Julio Cesar will bring you aboard a 36’ Stephen Decker sportfishing vessel with space for 10 passengers. It has a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Julio Cesar will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don’t forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Dolly!
