These waters are known for Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, Giant Trevally, and more. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome!
Your day begins aboard a 24' Center console that holds up to 4 passengers. Your captain will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time!
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks and snacks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Offshore Trolling and Casting on August 31, 2025 • 2 adults
I spent a whole day on the boat with the two of them and really enjoyed it (trolling & casting). Fishing was quite tough (besides a few GT bites we only managed to land one GT and one grouper), but the sea was extremely rough with a lot of wind, which made some spots unfishable and generally more challenging. Of course, that's nature and nothing the operator can influence. We also didn't fish in the guide's home atoll, which added to the difficulty.
Nevertheless, they did everything possible to get us on the fish and clearly know the waters well. From the very first second I felt warmly welcomed as a guest, and throughout the day they took great care of me. The boat even had a toilet 👍.
Communication was super easy and straightforward, everything was punctual and professional. I'd gladly go again! :)

Absolutely amazing day. Captain was on time for pickup in the morning. Picked us up at the resort pier. We didn't catch any fish in the morning, one hooked but shark got it. He cut the trip short, letting me know fish activity is low and if it's ok we can try again in the evening. We went out again at 4:30 to a local fishing sport for Yellow Fin Tuna and and within a few mins landed two good size fish Tuna! We all know catching fish is never guaranteed but going out of his way to make sure we had the best chance to catch something was really awesome!

Black pearl was a great experience. Skipper had a great English knowledge of the local area and just got it from the get go. The boat was in immaculate condition a great size. The equipment was all preloaded for what I was targeting, in this case was GT and snapper. Are used several boats over my stay in the Maldives and the Black pearl was the strongest by far, although slightly more expensive than the other two I would happily play this every time to get access to the knowledge and approach that the Black pearl offered.
