These waters are known for Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Mangrove Snapper, Bonnethead Shark, Goliath Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Permit, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll be casting lines from a 23’ Hanson Tower Boat center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don’t leave home without sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Half Day Inshore Trip – Back Bay
My New Favorite Charter!
Our fishing club books with local charters once a month. This one is now my new favorite. They were very responsive to my inquiries prior to our trip date and provided loads of info up front for me to give to my group. We caught our limit of red fish, snook, spanish mackerel, lots of mangrove snapper (YUM!), jack crevalle, a barracuda and had a tarpon on the line jumping twice! Everyone in our group caught multiple fish. We had a great time and Captain Jim was wonderful to us. We sincerely could not have asked for a better day!

Half Day Inshore Trip – Back Bay
Half Day Morning Trip
Fished a half day trip with Captain Jim and everything was excellent. Boat, electronics and equipment were great. Captain Jim was fun, knowledgeable and put us on the fish! We fished used several different methods/styles of fishing which was very fun and a great learning experience. Caught pompano, trout, lady fish and a bonnet shark! We were able to keep 6 pompano and one trout which were great eating. Captain Jim did a great job cleaning and packaging the filets and was careful to explain how we should cook them. I would highly recommend Captain Jim and Cross 'Em Off Charters and look forward to fishing with them again in the future.

Half Day Inshore Trip – Back Bay - 12:30 PM
Awesome fishing afternoon with Captain Jim
We had a great afternoon fishing with Capt Jim! Our group consisted of myself, my son-in-law and my three grandsons. As you know…..kids need action. Boy did we have action…..so much so, that our cooler of snacks was barely touched! We fished multiple areas…..both inside the bay and outside the bay and caught fish at every one! We caught Spanish Mackerel, Bonnet Shark, Lady Fish, Sheep Head, Catfish, Jack Crevalle, Pompano, Ocean Trout, Puffer Fish, Snapper…..and a few others I can’t remember. If you’re in for a good time….you want book a fishing trip with Captain Jim! Thanks Capt Jim…..we’ll do it again sometime!
