The Good Life Guide Service is here to show you the stunning waters of the Lake of the Ozarks. With Captain Mike at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

These waters are home to Paddlefish, Catfish, Crappie, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, it's common to troll, drift, and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle, and use livescope, depending on target species.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! All guests must wear life vests, and we will have the appropriate sizes available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! We also have access to a bar and grill, with multiple places to use the restroom up and down the lake.

You'll be welcome aboard a 26' SeaArk with room for 6 passengers. It has a fighting chair, a weatherproof full enclosure, and all the essentials for making your trip an unforgettable experience. Capt. Mike will provide rods and reels for you.

Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. Kids under 15 can snag and fish without a license. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

If you have any questions about fishing with The Good Life Guide Service, you can send Capt. Mike a message down below.

Absolutely recommend was amazing.
4 Hour Trip – Snagging (PM) on April 16, 20264 adults

Mike and Dillion were the best. They were patient, accommodating and engaging. We very much enjoyed getting to know them. Their skill in getting us on the fish was top notch. You will not be disappointed in booking with them. Answered everything we needed to know quickly with just a phone call. WOW, they were great.

BEST CHARTER OUT THERE!
4 Hour Trip – Snagging (AM) on March 20, 20252 adults

Coming from an experienced angler who grew up in Florida, this is the best charter I’ve ever been on hands down. Not only were the fish much bigger than expected, the lake is beautiful, and the captain and his son are amazing people! You can tell they are very experienced and know what they are doing. I’ve been on dozens of charters freshwater and saltwater but this tops everything! If you want to catch fish and have a good time this is the charter to pick! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Amazing trip! Highly recommended!
4 Hour Trip – Snagging (AM) on April 25, 20253 adults

Booked mid season, captain got us in, and on top of em quick. Day was very overcast to start, but the crew knew where we were when we couldn't see and knew some safe spots while it lifted. Not only that, but they were completely set up for multiple types of methods to get em. The trip was for my brother's at first, but in the end we all learned something new and got beautiful fish, and more blessings than we could've imagined. Couldn't have asked for a better time.

Great trip
4 Hour Trip – Snagging (PM) on April 26, 20254 adults

If you are looking for an amazing time Good Life Guide Service are the guys to go with. Great people, good equipment and these guys know the fish. Took 10 minutes to hook into the first fish and had a four person limit in 4 hours. Plan on fishing with them again in the future. Could not be happier with our trip.

A big thank you to Captain Mike and Dylan. We had a great time and going to cherish the moment and have many pictures to prove it along with my wife’s 76 pounder. This is a great experience for anyone wanting to land a large fish.

I have been fishing since I was young, and specifically, the Lake of Ozarks for over 40 years. Fishing and hunting are my 2 favorite hobbies, more of a lifestyle for my family and I. You will be fishing with myself, and my son Matthew, or my son Dillon, and friend Arran. We will do our best to accompany all your needs and get you on some fish!
