Captain Frenchy
If you're ready to go fishing in New Orleans, look no further than Captain Frenchy. With Captain Hubert at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Redfish, Black Drum, Tripletail, Flounder, Tarpon, Smallmouth Bass, Sheepshead, Striped Bass, Speckled Trout, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! On these trips, it's common to spin or even cast a popping cork using light tackle. Capt. Hubert also offers fly fishing.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea for a boost of energy when needed!
Your trip begins aboard a 19' Brackish Boats center console with a capacity for 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray), Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Your trip with Captain Frenchy is just a click away, so why not make it happen?

My son and I, fishers from Florida, had a great time fishing with Captain Frenchy! We learned a lot about the differences between our waters, and really enjoyed his knowledge and the amazing scenery. He definitely leaned into our preferences, going fast for my teenager and letting me check out the cool fort. We caught our first speckled trout, a croacker, and a blue crab. It was really apparent that he was willing to work hard to find the fish (his ability to spot the fish was crazy!) and tailor the trip to what we would enjoy. We will definitely look him up next time we're in NOLA. Thank you captain!

i am very grateful for your company, both. I thank you for showing me pictures of your Art (oil) ! I am very much looking forward to fishing with You very cordial regards frenchy🎣🎣🎣

Captain Frenchy takes his work very seriously. He guided my 14-year-old daughter and me on a day when the odds were against us; the weather hadn't set us up for success, and we knew it would be a tough outing. However, Frenchy has an expert eye for reading the water and put us on fish right away. When the action slowed, he worked tirelessly, moving us again and again while using every trick up his sleeve. While the fishing was challenging, we spent a beautiful morning in the gulf swamp seeing gators and wildlife. We truly enjoyed Captain Frenchy’s company, and he even gave us a great tip on where to grab fresh oysters on our way back to the city. All in all, it was money well spent. Thank you, Captain Frenchy!

🙏🙏🙏🎣
My son and I had the MOST WONDERFUL time wirb Captain Frenchy. it wasnt an ifeal fishing guy but he totally made things happen. We truly had “the one that got away” - he estimated it was close to a 30” trout - got it up to the boat snd it slipped the hook. But on the heels of that caugh some gorgeous large spotted trout. have been fishing for years and was amazed by how much Captain Frenchy knew and his skills in finding the fish even when they do t wsnt to be found. Book with him - you wont be disappointed!

can’t wait to fish with you two again 🎣🎣🎣

We hooked up on 63 fish. we were able to keep 29 between Specs , Reds and Black drum. Captain Frenchy is very knowledgeable and personable. My son is still talking about him and our trip. Thanks, Captain Frenchy for a great day.

your Son is ADORABLE, very POLITE and such a good Angler i truly never had a 10 year old casting so amazingly well, far and precisely it was a true pleasure to have you two again. until next tume with my gratitude…🎣🎣🎣
While we broke the record for the least amount of fish on any of Frenchy’s excursions, you would never know it! We had an amazing time! Weather was beautiful, we saw wild hogs, gators, dolphins, you name it! We still caught enough fish for what we expected but Frenchy is such a professional, his goal is to catch dozens on every trip! Would highly recommend. 😊

thank you and will do it again
