If fishing in Nadi is on your bucket list, look no further than Magnum Express Fiji. Your guide for the day is Captain Ilai, which means you’ll tap into years of knowledge and experience.
Species like Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Giant Trevally, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Barracuda and more could be biting if conditions are right. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 26’ Mako center console with space for 8 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! It’s recommended to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles, you can bring your own and use our cool box to keep the drinks nice and cool. There will be some light snacks available on board. For the longer trips there will also be lunch included.

We had a chance to experience several different types of fishing and snorkeling on our trip. We were able to be picked up and dropped off right from the beach at the Sheraton. While we didn't catch "the big one" we did catch plenty of fish to keep the kids engaged and wanting to fish for days. We even saw dolphins on our way out. We would do this again for sure. After a nice cruise out to the fishing area, starting trolling, fishing, etc. We had the opportunity to swim & he even offered to take us to an island for snorkeling. My sons and I had an absolutely awesome day on the water with Ilai and Zaira! We each caught beautifully big fish, saw dolphins, turtles, all against a stunning Fijian backdrop.
Zaira packed a delicious lunch and kept us well fed and watered in between meals with fresh snacks including mangoes from their own tree! Ilai did not stop until everyone caught a fish, using trawling, casting and jigging techniques. He was as excited as we were with each hook. A truly unforgettable day in paradise!

Ilai Khalek was nice enough to pick us up at the beach of resort we where staying out which helped avoid any hassle. My brother and I aren't avoid fishers and Ilai was a great help getting us sorted out. The trip was very enjoyable lots of beautiful scenery and we ended up catching a lot of different fish which I don't remember the names of. Would recommend a trip with Ilai Khalek on Magnum Express without a doubt.
