Our trip with “Stella” Charters was “stellar” from the beginning, at the end and for every moment in between! Saving the best for last, our trip began with effortless booking, clear communication (including pictures to make parking easier) and a prompt, friendly greeting upon arrival where we were then escorted down a beautiful pier to an immaculate boat that was clearly stocked and ready for action. Our trip ended with Captain Eric filleting our fish while we waited on a beautiful deck overlooking the dock and water way before he ran inside to vacuum seal our fish for the ride home. He then presented the fish to us in a branded cooler which will also serve as a fantastic memento for our trip. We were graciously hosted for every moment during our trip. It was a truly exceptional experience. Regarding the best part, we caught fish early and often, enjoying tight lines for the entire duration of our trip. Eric is clearly an expert in two important ways. He is an expert guide who knows how to support angles in hi care. It was not surprising to learn that he had been doing so since he was a boy. He is also an expert at the waters that he fishes and the combination of those two skill sets proved to be a powerful one. We are already planning our next trip with Eric and plan to make trips with him a regular part of our fishing journey. I have a son who loves to fish. I know nothing about fishing. Captain Eric TCB!! If you are a clueless parent but want to make memories for your child (or relatives or complete strangers you meet on the street) Stella Charters is the way to go. Here are a few things: 1. Boat is perfect for small groups. This is not some big charter boat. I liken it to your rich, awesome buddy has an amazing fishing boat and he's doing you a favor (bc you're a clueless person about fishing) and taking you & your friends/relatives/associates out on his boat. It is amazing. 2. Operation is top notch. They handled five 13 year old boys at 6:00 a.m. Need I say more? 3. Captain Eric is great, personable, patient, funny and just a great dude. He does his business because he loves to fish and wants to share the joy of fishing with the public. He's not doing it for free (obviously) but he is great, his first mate is a boss and the whole experience is something well worth the price. 4. Speaking of price, this is not too expensive at all. Went out for six hours, fished two spots, caught the limit of rockfish (8), some huge, ugly catfish and then they took the boys to a spot to catch perch, shad/spot? (again clueless fisher here) and all kinds of fish - the kind you catch with worms and fish parts. 5. Vacuum sealed fish prepared for home. Not much to say other than AMAZING. Only drawback is Captain Eric is so popular you've got to book in advance - remember this is not some big operation, just your awesome buddy who TCB and allows you wonderful memories with your family/relatives/people you want to impress! But believe me, he is the best.
