If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Mitzi B Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Roger can tell you all about the local fishery. With over 40 years of combined experience, between the captain and the first mate, you will enjoy your trip.

The fish in these waters include Spanish Mackerel, Catfish, Bluefish, Striped Bass, and more with any luck. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You’ll be casting lines from a 35’ Bertram sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.

Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. All of their rods are custom Steve Fogle rods with Okuma reels. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don’t forget to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
