Fishing isn’t just about casting another line – it’s a whole experience, and Crooked Creek Guide Services is here to offer exactly that!
We are located on the Kasilof River. Here you’ll have access to local waters, including some honey-holes that only a local guide can show you. You will enjoy a relaxing and beautiful float down the Kasilof river.
The Kasilof is known for Sockeye Salmon, Coho Salmon, and more – depending on the season with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. Our guides work hard to make sure you have the best and memorable day ever. If this is your first time fishing they will teach you everything you need to know.
Rods, reels, and tackle are supplied.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, we have children and adult sizes available. Feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
We fillet, clean and vac pac your fish so you don’t have to find a processor after your trip. We bring you back to our lodge so you can relax as your fish is being processed.
You and anyone fishing with you will need to obtain an Alaska fishing license before the trip. You can usually find that information online, or reach out to the lodging coordinator here.
Lastly, don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions that will help you pack, including what’s available on-site and any essentials you should bring.
Pack your bags and come take a load off, with Crooked Creek Guide Services.

8 Hour Trip – Kasilof River on June 20, 2025
I came all the way from Italy, and I can honestly say that my experience with Crooked Creek Guide Services was nothing short of magical. I’ve been dreaming about salmon fishing in Alaska for over 40 years, and this trip made that dream a reality in the best possible way. From the moment we arrived at the river, everything was handled with professionalism and warmth. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely kind — the kind of person you instantly feel comfortable around. He didn’t just show us where to cast; he shared tips, stories, and a deep love for the river that made the whole experience feel special. You could tell he truly wanted us to have the best time out there. We spent the day floating on a beautiful stretch of the Kasilof river, surrounded by stunning Alaskan wilderness. The air was crisp, the water crystal clear, and the excitement was real — especially when I caught my first wild salmon. I’ll never forget that moment! They took care of everything: the gear, the boat, cleaning the fish, even helping us ship some home. It was seamless and stress-free. What touched me most was how personal the experience felt. This wasn’t just a tour — it felt like being welcomed into a local tradition, something you’d never get on your own. My family and I felt incredibly lucky to have found Crooked Creek. If you’re even thinking about fishing in Alaska — book with them. This is the kind of memory that stays with you for a lifetime. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you so much to the entire team at Crooked Creek Guide Services — you made a 40-year dream come true. I’ll carry this experience with me forever. Grazie di cuore, Matteo

Jeff was amazing with my son. He was very attentive and a great teacher. Staff at camp are friendly, charismatic and fun. All equipment is good and working. The fillets and packaging are excellent.

I have been going to Crooked Creek for several years, I love that the guides clean and fillet your fish and then it is vac-packed for you. 99% of the other fishing services there, hand you your catch in plastic bread bags and then you have to find a processor to process your catch. TRUST ME.... you will get your limits!! They also don't have the 1/2 day river trip BS, they take you out until you get your limit or until you are ready to tap out. BEST AROUND!! I already have several trips booked for July and August 2024!! CAN'T WAIT..
