We had an early start (were asked to meet at 4am instead of 5am) but it was probably worth it to get the best spots. Sockeyes were running and we were able to catch our limit withing an hour or two. Our guide Jeff was reallly good with teaching us how to floss for sockeyes and helping our 4 year old to catch them too. Even though the sockeyes were running at the time we went and could have went on our own, I’m still glad we booked this charter because it gave us the best chance of catching fish. The professional filleting and vacuum sealing also made it so convenient. I think this experience was definitely worth it! Thank you Crookd Creek!
I communicated with Melanie before my trip through this site and she was great! She was always very quick to respond to my messages, thorough, kept me updated, and relieved my anxiety as a first time salmon Fisherman. Our guide, Jeff, knew exactly where we needed to be and at what time on the river to have the best chance of reaching our sockeye limit. I needed some extra work with the technique and he was really good about helping me when I had questions. We fished the Kasilof late June. This wasn’t the height of the run but the limit just got increased from 3 pp to 6 pp. you could see the salmon swimming upstream right in front of you! We opted to try for kings after quickly reaching our sockeye limit. We didn’t have any luck hooking any since we were at the very end of their run but it was still fun! Saw them jumping! Jeff has been guiding for almost a few decades and is so knowledgeable and patient. You’re definitely in good hands with this operation! I highly recommend them and can’t wait to book them again when visiting!
Jeff was great at accommodating my family and making them feel welcome. He took his time to get us on in no time. He is very experienced in what he does and it sure shows. The only bad side was the company charged me more than what was stated. They charged me a 3% for using credit card which was anticipated but the other extra 3% tax was not in the fishing booker site.

Joseph, It was great having you fish with us. Sorry for the extra charge, the app was set up wrong on our end. You were refunded the 3% and the app was corrected. Thank you
The guide, Jeff, was really professional and helpful teaching the (new to me) fishing technique for the Sockeye salmon. The processing of the catch was fast. Melinda was a great help as well with answering my questions. Thanks for the great experience.
Our full day trip on the Kasilof River was lots of fun. Our guide, Seth, put us in position to land king salmon. He worked hard on the oars to keep our boat in the best spots and provided helpful advice. Everything about our trip was great!n
