Welcome to LZ Fishing Charters, located in beautiful Anna Maria Island, FL, specializing in offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay! Your captain, Zack Horton, is an avid angler and outdoorsmen with a love for fishing and everything the ocean has to offer. With Capt. Zack you not only are hopping aboard with a knowledgeable fishing captain, but a Capt. that loves to share in and educate with others about the environment and all of the different species of wildlife that you are sure to see on your day on the water.

As far as the fishing goes, your Capt. will reach out and talk to you and your party prior to your trip about what you’re specifically looking to do/catch! Primary targets depending on the time of the year include different species of Snapper, Hogfish, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Red and Gag Grouper, Porgies, Grunts, Cobia, and even Mahi. Of course the sharks are ever present as well!

LZ Charters fishes out of a large 26’ Deep V Center Console powered by twin 175 horsepower Suzuki outboards. This boat cruises at 35 kts with a max speed of 50 kts. It has the horsepower to get you and your crew out to the fishing grounds fast! Fishing with a max of 4 anglers, this allows the Capt. and the anglers to have more than enough room to work when reels start singing and fish start hitting the deck. Aboard you’ll find a spot lock trolling motor, 30 rod holders, top of the line GPS and fish finding electronics, a sound system and of course all of the required USCG safety equipment. Capt. Zack provides all of the fishing licenses for your party, all of the rod and reels, the tackle, the bait, a cooler full of ice and bottled water. Simply bring your drinks, bring some snacks, some sunblock (rub on please), don’t forget the sunglasses and you’re ready to roll!!!
