Around here the fishing is popular for Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Yellowtail Amberjack, Amberjack, Sierra Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, Red Snapper, Black Grouper, and more, depending on the season.
During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Updive is happy to have kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be dropping lines from our beautiful boat Mamba, a 27' Sportfishing Angler with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Updive has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
