MC Yachts Company
If you plan on fishing in La Paz, look no further than MC Yachts Company. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Carlos Antonio can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Roosterfish, Sailfish, Jack Crevalle, Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Blue Marlin, Gag Grouper, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Striped Marlin, and plenty more.
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Carlos Antonio also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard - bring your favorites to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll find yourself aboard a 27' Consola central that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Carlos Antonio has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10-20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with MC Yachts Company!
