Legend Sportfishing Guide Service
Spend the day with Legend Sportfishing Guide Service and let them show you what makes the fishing in Toronto so memorable! With Captain Jon at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Species like Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, Walleye, Lake Trout, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year. You'll target your catch by trolling primarily or something more specialized in certain areas depending on what type of fish you're after.
Capt. Jon believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
You'll be dropping lines from a 20' Legend with a capacity for 3 passengers. It comes with downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Just bring a cooler for your catch if you want to keep it.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Legend Sportfishing Guide Service!

With an encyclopaedic knowledge of Lake Ontario and its fish species, we couldn’t have asked for a better Captain than Jonathon! He and Skipper Serge, were generous with their knowledge, incredibly skilful at getting us on the salmon, and great fun!! I don’t often give recommendations as I’ve becoming a picky old git in my later years. This expedience however is worthy of an “exceptional”. My 15 year old summed it up perfectly. “This has been the best day of my life!” Maybe that had something to do with three whoppping great Chinooks he bagged, but Jon and Serge played a huge part in that! Go on! If you want the best, BOOK ‘em!!

Great having you and your son aboard! He was a pro in every sense of the word! Safe travels!

Had a great first trip on Lake Ontario with my son. Jon got us right out on the salmon and we had our limit of giant fish in no time. Jon was a great captain and person and I'd highly recommend going fishing with him.

Thanks Justin! I'm glad we could get you out on the water and on the Salmon! It was fantastic watching you guys bring them to the boat together. Come back any time!
Holy big fish! Jon knew right what to do and oh boy was he busy. We caught 10+ 10 pound fish and enjoyed every second.

Awesome, glad you had a great time! You were machines on the reels! Would love to have you back again! Give me a call!
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I have been fishing all my life since I was a very young kid and have been around water all my life. I was born on the west coast and have fished at various locations up and down the province in both Saltwater and Freshwater environments. Some of my favourite fishing spots in BC are within minutes of major cities, you don't have to go far to find the fish. Moving to Ontario in 2015, I had never heard of the ability to fish for 'pacific' salmon (chinook and coho) in the Great Lakes but it was a fantastic opportunity and a truly amazing fishery.
