Redfish Cowboys is your ticket to the stunning waters of Okaloosa Island. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Alex can tell you all about the local fishery.
Species like Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Redfish, Speckled Trout, Crab, Permit, Flounder, Tarpon, Bonito, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the season. During the trip you might be spinning, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's bowfishing.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Blazer Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

we had a great day of fishing we caught some great red fish and a few unexpected fish a few puffer fish a larg drumb and a flounder all my girls had a great day and loved the experience we would recommend this charter to family’s with kids fishing for the first time the captain was very helpful and taught the kids a bout the fish it was great!!
Captain was great. Equipment was good. Kids caught a lot of fish and he put us on good red fish and Jacks!!
I took 5 boys on the fishing trip and they all had such a great time! They caught a variety of types of fish!
Captain alex was very nice and knows how to put you on fish. He is great for beginners and experienced alike and really cares about the people he takes out to fish. He will definitely be the one I charter with when I come back and I would recommend everyone to book woth him as well!!
