Depending on the season, you might hook into Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Bonito, Cobia, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, and plenty more. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Rig 3 Adventures are great for kids, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll be casting lines from a 25' NauticStar center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

4 Hour – Inshore/Nearshore/Combo on September 20, 2024 • 5 adultsThe captain took us about 3 miles offshore and we caught red snapper and trigger fish one after another for about two hours. We then fished Perdido Bay and caught a variety of smaller fish, including croakers, mangrove snapper, catfish, and lizzard fish. We had a good time and went through 10 dozen bait shrimp. It was a nice well kept boat with twin Yamaha 250hp engines. The owner’s wife who ran the booking was very nice and communicative. I would use them again.

Jesse was awesome with my 5 and 8 year old kids and got us on a ton of fish right out of the gate! We put 3 nice Snapper in the box, but caught a ton of just under the limit keeping everyone busy. We lost a few that would gone in, but that’s fishing. Overall we had a ton of fun and action. Would highly recommend!

The part that you can’t always count on with being provided a service of any kind is patience with kids. Captain Jesse was text book with fielding questions and handling the different temperaments of our kids, that was greatly appreciated, almost more than the fishing itself.

Keep in mind, fishing is fishing. Sometimes you find the big ones, sometimes you don’t. We had a few keepers but did not find the big boys. Not for lack of trying though. Our captain, Jerry, was fantastic. Super personable and super knowledgeable. He did everything to try and get on the big ones. Having said that, we DID catch fish and had a blast. The boat was top notch and in perfect and clean shape. Cant recommend Rig 3 more! They are great…you will not be disappointed!

we had a great 4 hour trip. seas where alittle bigger than expected but the captain did a great job putting us on and holding us on the snapper! plenty of room on the boat for our party of 5. the whole crew with Rig 3 was great!
