Come reel in the fish of your dreams and experience the ultimate 'reel' experience of sport fishing with Live Bait Sport Fishing, ranked as one of the best fishing charters on Oʻahu for nearly 40 years.

With an extremely high success rate, Live Bait has been providing sport fishing charters since the year 1985. Live Bait offers deep sea trolling with light to heavy tackles, lures, and live bait. These waters hold game fish like Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Pacific Barracuda, Shortbill Spearfish, Bigeye Tuna, and more.
Live Bait is a 35' Bertram, powered by twin diesel engines and cruises at 25 knots and designed for offshore and coastwise sportfishing.

All equipment and ice are furnished. For the safety and comfort of our guests, she has a full complement of electronics, A/C, and a marine 'head'. She exceeds the U.S. Coast Guard requirement for safety equipment.
The Captains and crews of Live Bait are all top notch and trained for years before attending to our guests.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask.

Welcoming novice to experienced anglers on board, Live Bait combines ancient Hawaiian fishing traditions with modern and innovative fishing techniques. If your partner does not want to fish, they could enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the Leeward side of Oʻahu only seen from the ocean and possibly encounter dolphins, whales, rays, turtles, and much more!

Let Live Bait help you get that bucket list! Stop wishing, start fishing! Don't be late, get on Live Bait!

It was a awesome trip!
Full Day Trip on August 13, 20252 adults
Well we hit the open water at 5:30am paid for the charter from (6am-2pm) and got off the water about 3:45pm. The captain was super awesome and definitely more about the fishing than the money! They started trolling lures right away on the drive to the bait fish schools about a hour trip from the pier and got some bait. We then trolled to the blue marlin areas and dropped live bait. We fished until 2pm and only slowed down to catch more bait fish. We wasn't catching anything so the captain told them to give me the pole and let me try jigging for the bait fish. I pulled in around 15-20 bait fish for the boat, it was awesome and very tiring lol. We hadn't caught anything so the captain just kept going not caring that technically our trip was up! He wouldn't give up! Then we hooked into this totally awesome big Blue Marlin! 8 and a half ft long, approximtely 180 pounds per the captain! It was awesome! He was willing to stay longer but the wife wasn't feeling the best and I was exhausted. Absolutely the best trip ever! Would 100% recommend and if I ever make it back to Hawaii best believe I will be looking for Captain Shannon again! Thanks again for a beautiful boat ride and amazing fishing trip! Mahalo!

Bottom of the 9th…
3/4 Day Trip on July 31, 20252 adults
What a great day! Started early and went to get bait. Immediately trolled and hooked into a yellow tail that ended up turning into a Galapagos Shark right at the boat that ate it all. More trolling until the last five minutes of the trip and we marked some fish. Captain Shannon called it- we hit a marlin on the top rod and after seeing another right at the boat, fed him right there- DOUBLE! What fun to bring in two 6 ft Blue Marlin at the same time. We just beat the clock! Thanks guys.
