We had an absolute blast fishing with Doghouse Fishing Charters! This is a wonderful family-run business, and the dad, Shack, and his son, Mead, were fantastic—super kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They made the whole trip enjoyable and relaxing for our family. The boat was perfect for us, with a comfortable indoor area and bathroom. Having three teenage girls along, it was really nice to have the option to step inside for a break (though the weather ended up being beautiful, so we mostly stayed out on deck). Even though the fish weren’t biting as much as we’d hoped, we still had a great time cruising around, listening to music, and soaking in the scenery. We each managed to catch one, which made the day! As they reminded us, fish are unpredictable, and that’s all part of the adventure. We would 100% book with Doghouse again the next time we’re in the Outer Banks. Highly recommend them for families or anyone looking for a fun, stress-free day on the water!
Captain Brit experience showed first thing. A severe thunderstorm was rolling in. Cancel the trip and moved it to the come Friday. We caught around twenty Spanish mackerel and one blue. And can’t leave out two small lizard fish. During the later part of the trip, the first mate was teaching the youngest kid howl to haul in the fish by hand. This boat and crew is great for families with kids that what to learn how to fish in the ocean from the boat. Very understanding with issue that came about, start out with 12 going fishing and ended with 6 adults and one kids. Very understanding.
let’s start out by saying Captain Britton and his mate are absolutely a wonderful crew to fish with. From boarding to exiting the boat they both were very helpful and answered every question my family had. We all had a blast with our 4 hour trip and caught some fish. I would do it again forsure. I would recommend these guys and what i really liked about them is they were very straightforward with answers to the questions. Thanks again guys💪👏💪👏🥇🏆

Captain Britton was very understanding of unfortunate circumstances with our trip. We made adjustments and was able to make some lasting memories. The 1st mate Willie was excellent and was very patient with our girls! This trip was definitely one for the books and we cannot thank you both enough! The boat was beautiful and super spacious for our group! We will definitely use them again in the future!
Captain was calm, greeted everyone upon boarding and remembered your name! First mate Willy was on the ball the whole time, made everyone feel comfortable, easy vibe throughout trip. Special attention to our two youngest crew was truly appreciated! I would high recommend this charter team to anyone!!
