Captain Alex has been fishing the waters off Marblehead since he first learned to cast. Upon turning 18 Alex earned is United States Coast Guard Captains License, and he has been offering charters since then. Alex has a passion sharing his fishing expertise with all interested. Paired with a degree in Marine Science Alex loves to share more about the marine environment with clients on his trips. Whether you're a first-time angler or a seasoned fisherman, Captain Alex is dedicated to making every trip on the water an unforgettable experience
Our boat "Tight Line" is a 23 foot Sea Hunt center console with the perfect combination of a shallow draft for fishing the rocks and wide bow to handle any waves or chop thrown at us. Equipped with a 225 horse power Yamaha motor Tight Line is both fast and maneuverable. Importantly, Tight Line is equipped for more safety gear than the US Coast Guard mandates, to help keep us safe at all times.
We offer everything from 3 hour inshore fishing trips to full day inshore and offshore trips. If you don't see a trip that you're looking for, reach out to us and we can make the perfect trip for you!

He was super knowledgeable and taught my boys how to reel and unhook. We caught tons and tons of fish, including some big ones and a monk fish. Boat was spick and span. Highly recommend.

Early Morning Special - 3 hr Trip on July 15, 2026 • 5 adults • 2 childrenWe did the 3 hour trip. Captain Alex was great. We caught a bunch of small fish to use as bait. Then we were lucky to catch 4 big fish. He was really great with my kids 8, 10 and 16. It exceeded our expectations.

We spent the first 2-2.5 hrs looking for them, but when we found them we loaded up with 20-30 and Alex was kind enough to extend our trip 30min. to give us a chance at a big fish. Right at the end we reeled in a 44" monster of a striper!

My 10 year old son loves fishing but I don't know much about it and Alex was very knowledgeable and took us to all the right spots where we both caught a ton of fish bait and my son caught huge striped bass. He was very knowledgeable about marine life and where fish could be schooling along with showing us how he used lobster traps and how he caught the bait we were using. I caught a beautiful striper bass and he was a great fight. The trip was very relaxing educational and I would definitely go again.

We had a great time with Captain Alex. He was super knowledgeable and also very patient and helpful with our kids. They learned a lot and he took the time to answer all of my son’s questions, which was a lot of questions! We caught fish and had a great day on the water. Was the highlight of our trip!
