These waters hold fish like Striped Bass, Haddock, Flounder, Cod, Mackerel, Bluefin Tuna, and more. For certain species, you're likely to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep and the cost of cleaning your fish is included. Although there is never a guarantee to catch fish, any day on the water, is a good day.
You'll step aboard either a 2022 Parker 2820 XLD Sport Cabin vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers or a 2023 Sea Fox Commander that can carry up to 4 passengers. There's a toilet on board for your convenience and the pilot house on the Parker 2820 allows you to step out of any type of weather conditions. Fishing gear is provided by the charter as well as bait and lures. Live bait is also included and you may be catching it yourself.
We do require a mandatory service charge of a 20% automatic gratuity on top of the price of each charter that is to be paid prior to the boat departing from the dock. Example: charter that costs $500 requires a mandatory Service Charge of a 20% automatic gratuity of $100. Please keep this in mind when booking.
The charter boat covers your fishing license! The wide variety of species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Capt. Tim and Capt. Paul are happy to have kids aboard so please bring them along! Children under 12 years old must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. It's always wise to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation.

We had two beginners with us so the bait-fishing portion of the trip was great for instruction and building confidence. There we caught mostly mackerel with a pollack and few baby cod. Captain Rick was super-knowledgeable and very kind with my kids. No luck today with the striper but luck is all that was. City Hawk definitely set us up for success. We definitely recommend City Hawk and Captain Rick for your next charter.

If you’re looking for a top-tier fishing experience, look no further than a haddock trip around Stellwagen Bank. From start to finish, this was one of the best fishing adventures I’ve ever had. We were pulling in fish non-stop—haddock after haddock, with plenty of action all day long. The crew knew exactly where to go, and they put us right on the fish. It wasn’t just luck—it was clear these folks know the waters like the back of their hand. But what truly set this trip apart was the crew. They weren’t just knowledgeable and professional—they felt like family. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to share the experience with us. Whether it was helping with gear, cleaning our catch, or just sharing stories between drops, they went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable even during a full day offshore. Safety and comfort were clearly a priority, and it showed. 4 Hour Inshore (pm) $500 on July 28, 2024 • 2 adultsCaptain Paul took us out on an afternoon, inshore trip. We caught live bait, 5+ sea bass, and we're able to have a delicious fish dinner as a result. Captain Paul filleted our catch, and helped us prep it for home. The boat was gorgeous, smooth, incredibly comfortable, and overall an incredible ride. Captain Paul also played lots of music, which added a fun element to our trip. Captain Paul is highly knowledgeable and knows where to go to catch fish. He is also great at teaching how to fish so people of all skill levels can enjoy the experience and have a great time. Pick up is at a nice dock in a fun beachside location, with a store and bathrooms available. If you are serious about catching fish, and want to travel on a beautiful boat, this trip is for you. Highly recommend!

Within minutes of getting to our first spot we filled the bait tank with mackerel which we pulled up 5 at a time! A quick ride to the next spot put us right on the Stripers and with his help got our limit and had a great fish dinner that night on the grill!!!!!

My son and I caught fish all day long with Captain Paul at City Hawk Charters. Red Fish, Haddock were biting and Captain Paul made sure we were finding the spots to keep catching them.
