If you're planning to fish in the Marco Island/Naples area, stop scrolling—you've found your captain! With Captain Ryan at the helm, you're in expert hands (and possibly on your way to some legendary fish stories).
Depending on the season, you might tangle with Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, and more. Basically, if it swims and puts up a fight, we're after it!
On these trips, you'll get to try your hand at spinning or casting a popping cork, using a mix of light and heavy tackle. If you've never done it before—don't worry, we'll teach you (and make you look good doing it).
Bringing the family? Fantastic! Kids are more than welcome. Just make sure they wear a life vest (check ahead for the right size), and pro tip: bring snacks. A well-fed crew is a happy crew.
Your ride for the day is a 23' Hurricane Center Console Deck boat, ready to comfortably fit up to 4 passengers. And yes, there's a toilet on board, because we like to keep things civilized—especially for the ladies.
We provide rods, reels, tackle, and lures, plus live shrimp (when available) or frozen shrimp (when the live ones are feeling uncooperative). No need to worry about a fishing license—we've got you covered. Just show up, cast a line, and get ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may need to be released due to regulations—Captain Ryan will keep you informed.
What to bring? Polarized sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). We'll have some drinks on board, but feel free to bring your own (just run it by the captain first). Alcohol is totally fine in moderation, but let's leave the hard liquor and glass bottles on dry land.

Gave us exactly the experience we were looking for, caught tons of fish (including a redfish that made an excellent supper!) and had an island stop. Furthermore, Ryan is quite the historian about the local area, you will learn things you would’ve never known about the area, natural and human history. Mangrove Explorers does any other kind of outdoor adventures in the area as well if you’re looking for that. Will definitely book again

He was very knowledgeable about the waters, but what was more important was that Captain Boets was down to earth, a history buff, and easy to talk to.
