These waters are known for Striped Bass, Black Seabass, Tautog, Bluefish, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" You’ll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Trips with Smokin Reels are fun for all ages, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

Capt. Cliff operates a 21’ Striper walkaround that can carry up to 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
