Captains Paul and Eric, a father-son team, provide trips offshore in State and Federal waters. If you don't see an offering that fits your needs, message us and we'll get back to you with some suggestions.
Kids are welcome aboard but for safety reasons, charters with children under 6 years won't be run offshore. Please contact us to discuss before booking.
Species vary by location. One of the greatest things about fishing saltwater is the variety of fish you can land. We welcome you aboard a large 24' Ranger bay boat we call Mermaid One. We do charters up to 4 passengers. In addition to all safety equipment required by the USCG we also have an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon, EPIRB, to further enhance the safety of our operation. We are equipped with all the tackle required for your outing, including quality gear from suppliers like PENN, Daiwa and Okuma. We fish with cut bait, live bait and artificial lures, all of which are provided.
Your fishing license for your trip is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Items to bring- sunglasses, drinks (we'll have plenty of water for you), and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Please be aware that a hold harmless waiver will need to be signed before the start of the charter. If paying with a credit card or payment service, a 2.9% service fee is added to the balance due.

We booked the day before on a whim and we won! Captains Paul and Eric safety briefed and then led us out to catch many fish. Snappers were in season so we got our full of those plus several other types of fish. Then we headed out for something bigger and quickly caught some big guys including a large shark and several Amber Jack. They made sure we each got a chance to reel in a big guy. A nice ride back to dock and they nicely cleaned, packaged AND labeled our fish. would highly recommend these professional guys!

From our inital online contact with the captain to end of our family day adventure, we had a great time making lot of memories. We caught about 7 different types of fish during our 4 hr offshore trip. We caught a lot of Triggerfish, Red Snappers and few Amberjack. Amberjack was by far most exciting fish reeling in. All in all, we caught about 20+ fish. Unfortunately most of them are not in season or it was too small for us to keep. Captain also provided us a lot of information about the fish we caught and fishing techniques for our boys. We really enjoyed and appreciate the fishing experience from the Captain. Hopefully we’ll be back soon and book abother outing with them.

We had a great trip! Despite Tropical storm Bertha captain Paul did everything he could to make sure we got our trip In while we were in town. He and Eric were both very helpful, courteous and very professional. They also were able to put us on the fish! If you’re looking to book a trip out of the Pensacola area you should definitely book with Double D! We will be making it an annual trip!

These guys are great! I have booked many charters with my family and I have had varying experiences, but these guys were tops across the board. Communication, Preparation, Equipment, Methodology, Attentiveness, Safety... All of it was beyond anything we have experienced and that added up to a great day on the water with a lot of success! We caught 50-60 fish of different species, simply lost count. Take advantage of their off-shore option and you likely won't be disappointed. Will book again any time we are in the area!

Double D got us in the fish! Both Captains Paul and Eric hustled keeping bait on our poles and lines in the water. We caught trigger fish, red snapper, vermillion snapper, almoco jack,and remora. A beautiful dolphin made a surprise visit for several minutes too! Thanks to Double D for your hospitality!

We are Paul and Eric Douglass, a father and son team operating as a 2 person crew, ensuring our customers have the maximum opportunity to catch fish by making sure lines spend more time in the water and less time in the boat. We started our fishing journey in the lakes of East Texas and the Texas Gulf. We moved to Florida in 2020 for the unmatched fishing opportunities offered by the Sunshine State where we continue to dial in the seasonal patters, study the migratory movements of game fish and learn what's required to catch fish in the Florida Panhandle. Eric, an avid fly fisherman, got his first fly rod at 8 yrs old and started out fishing for anything that would bite in Texas golf course ponds, local lakes and streams. He's continually upped his fly fishing game and now targets among other species, Reds, Trout, Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish in the Pensacola area. Paul started chasing fish as more than a hobby in 2004 with his first power-boat purchase. Paul has fished in every state along the Gulf and the waters of the Great Lakes, Minnesota's Boundary Waters, the finest lakes in Texas and now the inland, intercoastal, near coastal and offshore waters from Destin to the Florida/Alabama border (to name a few). You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
