These waters are home to, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, wahoo, sailfish, sharks and more if conditions are right. These species are all dependent on the trip that you choose.
You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your day begins aboard a 34' Center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Matt has rods and reels for you.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Beer is the only alcohol allowed.

He had extra rain gear, which was a HUUUUGEEE help. We had a successful day, with 8 Blues reeled in...three more escaped to be caught another day! This made my 10yo son's day. He can't wait to go out on a boat trip again. Captain Matt provided good tunes to keep our soggy spirits up between bites, and was so friendly throughout the trip. Thank you Captain Matt!

The weather was an obstacle as it was pretty rough and windy, but Matt was very upfront with expectations and we were game for a good day on the water. It took us a while to get a bite but the sights were worth it. We had a good time talking with Matt and it was an experience being in some rougher weather. Would we have liked to catch some more fish? Sure, but we would happily go out with Captain Matt again. Great guy and a fun day. Thanks for everything Matt.

I want to start by saying I left a five star review for Captain Matt last time I fished with him in early June. This trip was no different. He puts you on the fish. Captain Matt listens to what you want and does his best to get it for you. I listen to his recommendations and I take them. This trip we got mahi, kings, Spanish, false albacore, sharks… I can’t remember what else. He cares, he listens and he delivers. Thanks Captain Matt!

Good catch with a decent amount of Spanish Mackerel and one Bluefish, but I think it is time for Capt. Matt to retire or at least take a vacation . All he did was complain the entire trip. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable fisherman but he doesn’t really want you to touch the gear, which doesn’t make for a very hands on experience. Again, he is good fisherman.
Shawn, great review and it's true, I'm blessed as a fisherman and perhaps could take a vacation. where would I go? perhaps fishing? 😂 nah, I do that every day. Thanks for coming out and I appreciate the review and recommendations. regarding the tackle, and the future crowd that can read this. I recommend minimizing picking up the rod when trolling planers as it's very likely they will reset and shake off the fish. I've seen it countless times and when it's a little slow I'd rather stack up the fish in the box. I'd also find it hard to believe that a person would recommend a guy who "complained the entire time"? I vividly remember your teenage boys that seemed entirely disinterested from the jump, but hey that's kids and I've got two teens. anyway, thanks again. Capt Matt
We didnt have the greatest day of fishing but Capt. Matt got us on a few Bluefish and Spanish Mack. All 3 of us had a great time and really enjoyed our time on Fish Advisor. The weather was absolutely beautiful and would have had a great time even if we didnt catch anything. Would definitely do this trip again.

Captain Matt is a great captain. He’s accessible and stayed in touch throughout the booking up to the trip. He’ll help you out anyway he can. He pays attention to what you want and tries his best to get it for you. I knew it was going to be rough, but was in a time crunch. He gave me an out, but I went anyway. He handled the boat exceptionally well and got us some fish. In short, he knows what the hell he’s doing and I trust him. Great captain.

I've been an active crew member onboard some very successful charter operations in South Florida, as well as the outer Banks of NC. I was raised in the sport fishing industry from a very young age and have followed my father's footsteps. I originally started as a 'boat wash kid' where I tried to get my foot in the door in the industry. It's a rough neck industry for a young kid but I pushed my way through and eventually became a 2nd mate, first mate and after 15 years as a mate, I set a course for sea school where I would graduate with a 100 ton masters credential. I have been blessed and privileged to learn under some very well known captains who were very demanding and I feel that pressure helped me to become the captain I am today. As a captain and owner I have made honesty my highest aim. That's my personal policy and I stand by it. Now that I've climbed the ladder to the helm of my own boat, I get to teach people from all walks of life about fishing, boating and the marine world! Thanks for reading and let's go fishing!
