Double D Fishing Charters Ludington
Ludington has a fish with your name on it, so let Double D Fishing Charters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Dale can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Salmon, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. Depending on the fish you're after, you may find yourself trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll be casting lines from a 21' Kingfisher sportfishing vessel with space for 3 passengers. It comes with downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Dale will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The weather and conditions were perfect on Friday evening, the 29th. Captain Dale was awesome. He provided everything. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions about a range of fishing topics. We didn't catch anything for most of the trip, (nobody around was doing much either) but then near the end, we each got to experience catching some big King Salmon! It was a thrill! Captain Dale took care of all the cleaning and packaging too! We enjoyed the whole trip and experience. We would definitely use DD Charter again!

I really enjoyed fishing with both of you! Thanks for coming out and I look forward to next time. Captain Dale

Did an evening trip out of Ludington with Caption Dale. Ended up going 3 for 6 that evening. 21ft kingfisher handled the waves great and he was great with my 5 year old son on the boat. Would highly recommend fishing captain Dale. Very knowledgeable.

We persevered and stuck it out until they started biting. Glad you guys had fun and your son is very very well behaved. I look forward to fishing with you again.

Captain Dale was great to salmon fish with. I had lots of questions about salmon and other local fish which he happily educated me on. He was very personable and I will absolutely be booking him again.

Tim it was great having you on the boat! Hope you are able to catch that drum you after.

Highly recommend Captain Dale! My husband & I had a great time fishing for salmon out of Ludington. Cannot wait to do it again.

Happy anniversary! Thanks for coming out
Captain Dale was very knowledgeable and put us on fish. We had a tough day landing them due to a really soft bite. Had a monster snap the line. Every boat struggled but we had more action than most. I would recommend him to anyone looking to book.

Thanks for the kind review. Wish I could make them bite but some days are like that. Glad you guys had fun!

Capt. Dale runs trips out of Linwood and Wyandotte aboard a 21' KingFisher. These waters are known for Walleye and Lake Trout and he will show you how to catch them. With years of experience, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
