These waters are known for Bluefin Tuna, Striped Bass, Haddock, Bluefish, Flounder and much more!! With any luck, they'll make your reel scream and fill your cooler.**Be advised**For Bluefin tuna trips. NOAA restricts us from landing tuna 7 days a week all season!! June, 7 days a week we can land these fish. July hits and rfd's (restricted fishing days) go into effect were we can only land tuna's on sundays, mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Some years sundays are restricted too. (RFD's) go from July 1st-November 30th. This is a highly regulated fishery. Closed days (Tuesdays, fridays, and Saturday) we can still hook them and fight them but once the fish is to the boat, we will swim the fish bringing it back to life, take pictures with you and your fish then safely release back to the wild. If you're lucky enough to land one of these giants on a kill day your party will receive 20% off your next charter of equal value!!
**Be advised** Stripped bass have slot size to keep 28in-31in
You'll be fishing from a 35' Henriques downeast with space for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without!! Your captain will provide rods and tackle and bait
You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, lunch, snacks and sunglasses. If you get seasick dramamine will be a good choice!! Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Emergency waters are onboard if needed
It is accustom to the industry that a 15-20% tip for deckhands help for the day. They do not make any money unless the boat sells fish and they will work hard to make sure you are well equipped and cared for on the deck while fishing!!! If any concerns with deckhand help please address any issues with capt Derek

7hr Trip-Sharks on July 17, 2026 • 4 adults • 2 childrenThis was our first family fishing adventure. Captain Derek was a great resource and extremely helpful both before the charter and during. He moved our start time to adjust for better weather and it made the day. We got on the shark fishing grounds and started fishing for bait fish. Kids and adults had a blast! Every cast seemed to catch multiple fish! Cod, whiting, mackerel, and even squid. Got some good bait in the live well, started a chum slick, and set the big tackle! Kids, and adults, couldn't stop bottom fishing! Then some thing hit our squid bait and our 8 year old got to reel in his first big catch. A 36" Porbeagle shark! Exactly what we came there to catch. Great pictures with the little beast. We ended the day with just the one shark but a ton of great memories. We took home the rest of the squid and they were the best calamari we ever had! Son keeps talking about next year with Captain Derek!

10hr Trip-Full day ground fish on June 13, 2026 • 4 adultsWe had a charter get canceled by the captain two days prior to the trip, due to slow fishing in his area. I found Eastern Viking Charters and booked to salvage our plans. I'm glad I did. Captain Derek was great. he put us on the fish. We caught a great mix of Haddock, Pollock, Cusk and Redfish. The four of us all went home with a fat bag of fish. His 35' downeast was comfortable underway with a spacious deck for fishing. Go book with Derek, he'll take good care of you.

We caught several fish, saw whales, ocean sunfish and even a shark. Captain Derek and Dominick were top knotch at finding the best place to catch fish, and even made a stop on the way back to carch a striper. they really knew their stuff! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good charter and a great day of fishing!

Captain in first mate, very knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to interact with. Captain Derrick dealt well and vigilantly with the potential for some rough seas, and we all had a great time. We caught a ton of makeral and used them for live bait fish for the 3 stripers we caught. He filet’d them up after so we could enjoy a nice dinner from the fresh fish we caught.
