Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Video games in the galley incase the fish aren't cooperating. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

Your excursion begins aboard a 40' Wellcraft 330 Coastal sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There's a bathroom on board for your convenience. Capt. Mike has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had a great experience with Capt Mike’s 4 Hour Fishing Charter for the 7 AM trip. The boat was very comfortable with plenty of shade, which made the morning enjoyable for everyone. Capt. Mike gave clear instructions throughout the charter and made the experience easy and fun, even for beginners.

What stood out most was how attentive he was with my 10-year-old son. He took the time to help him throughout the trip, explain everything clearly, and make sure he felt involved and confident. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone to have a good experience. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a relaxed, enjoyable fishing trip.

Great Hilton Head Experience.

4 Hour Trip on March 13, 2026 • 4 adults

We fished a bit out of season (mid-March), so the action was slower than usual. Even so, Capt. Mike did everything he could to get us on some fish and made sure everyone had a chance to catch one. In the end, everyone brought a fish into the boat, even if they were smaller than what we’re used to catching back in Minnesota. For us, it was simply great to be out on the water together.

It was also nice being on a larger boat. The water was fairly choppy the day we went out, and the size of the boat made the trip much more comfortable and provided some protection on a cooler day.

Amazing Fishing Trip..

The family had a great time and caught a lot of fish. Captain Michael was great and very knowledgeable about the area. He was very accommodating and would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking to book a fishing trip in the area. The boat is amazing and the onboard bathroom was a positive for the family. You will not be disappointed!

Great Trip - Bad Weather

Captain Mike was excellent! Great company,  and extremely knowledgeable. We had some mild weather to manage and Capt. Mike knew just how to handle, changing course and navigating to calmer waters to ensure our trip was comfortable. The big fish did not cooperate but, we still caught fish and learned a lot. He’s great with kids on their first offshore trip. Can’t wait till our next trip with Capt. Mike on the Sara Madison!

We had three adults and three children. The kids did all the fishing and between them they caught nine fish, three each. Captain Mike was the best and we will do it again the next time we do a fishing trip.
