My husband and I had an amazing day on the water with Capt Dan. The weather threatened to cancel the trip but we went out anyway and caught Flounder, Sheephead, and Red Drum. Capt Dan was great. He was very friendly and helpful with tips on how to catch the various species. The weather held out and he took us to areas that kept us out of the wind. It was a very successful fishing trip and I am looking forward to taking another trip with him later in the fall!

Captain Dan at Hook and Cook Charters was absolutely phenomenal. He’s lived on Tybee Island for over 40 years, and it shows. His knowledge of the local waters, the fish, and where to find them is second to none. He knew everything about every species we caught and exactly where the hotspots were. Every spot produced. And one thing I loved as soon as other boats started pulling up around us, Captain Dan peeled out and took us straight to another spot. No sitting around in a crowd hoping the fish would bite. We went home with around 10 pounds of fish, and this was hands down the best chartered fishing trip I’ve ever been on. Captain Dan knows these waters, works hard to put you on fish, and makes the entire experience a blast. 10/10 isn’t enough. Hook and Cook Charters gets a 20/10 from me.

My husband and I wanted to fish the inshore waters and picked Hook and Cook Services with Capatin Dan (and could have not have made a better decision). We started our day at 7am and brought a bag with snacks and a towel and a cooler. He was on the dock ready to go and we jumped on the boat, put our bag in a drybin in the front of the boat and the cooler in the back. We then set off for our first fishing spot (accompanied by some good tunes) where we caught several Reds and flounders. We then hit a few more spots where we picked up several more species of fish including more reds and a trout. We even saw dolphins swim by the boat. Captain Dan was always at the ready and was quick to offer another pole when I needed a retie or to put on more bait. Dan gave excellent advice in a way it was easy to understand and follow. At thr end of our trip, Dan fileted our fish and we walked to Bubba Gumbo’s restaurant where they cooked up our fish (it cost us about $10 a serving with 2 sides). It was an excellent day with Captain Dan and if you are reading this, I would suggest to hurry up and book your tour before the day you want is booked. Thnks again for a memorable day, Dan!!

I booked a kids trip for my son who's 3 years old and we all had a great time. Captain Dan had us on fish in the first hour and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Dan made sure my son could catch fish and even rigged his little pole we brought with. My wife and son loved it and we will definitely come back.

We booked a charter out of Tybee Island and it exceeded all expectations. Captain Daniel knew exactly where the fish were biting and put us right on them. We caught Trout, Redfish, 2 Red Drum one 30 inches the other 36, flounder and other fish all morning long. The boat was clean, the gear was top-notch, and Daniel was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with tracking and cleaning our catch. If you want a productive, thrilling fishing trip on Tybee, book immediately!

Went with my son and father-in-law on Father's Day and had a blast! Capt. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and was terrific my with little guy. We brought in some red drum, flounder, croaker, and trout, and Captain took photos, brought us around near a dolphin pod, and made the trip an all-around special experience. After we docked he fileted everything up and we headed into Bubba Gumbo's where they cooked everything up for a great lunch. The blackened red drum was *chef's kiss! Can't go wrong with Captain Daniel!

i dont even know where to begin. Captain Dan is absolutely an amazing person! He was so so friendly and made us feel right at home. He moved us around to diffrent spots teaching us ahout the local wildlife, and some about tybee. He taught me pointers on how to catch the fish and was happy for me when I did. I brought my two year old with and she was asleep on my lap so he even went as far as to cast the line for me! I genuinely can not sing his praises enough. My two year old was in an irritable mood and he done everything he could to not only let us fish but to make the experience enjoyable for her. We saw dolphins and he turned us around to where they were right beside us and even swam under the boat! He took us to a light house and told us about its history on the way to another fishing spot. He even went as far as to get pictures of our catches for us and then filleted them, cleaned them, and bagged them up for us! He then gave us great advice on how to cook our catches. As much fun as the fishing was, Captain Dan makes this special! You could always find a fishing charter, but the kind of person Captian Dan is, is rare! He was so knowledgeable, and so so kind. Will definitely have to come back!!

Our family had a great experience with Capt. Daniel! We caught lots of whitefish, croakers, and a big redfish. It was my son’s first fishing experience, so being able to book a shorter duration trip that is geared toward kids was perfect. Hifhly recommend!

Captain Dan did an excellent job putting us on the fish! He even tailored the music to our Kentucky background. We came to catch redfish, and he sure delivered and had several other bonus species, and even me a few things about patterns in Tybee. I highly recommend that if you are coming to the area, you give him a call; you will have a great trip!!
