If you're ready to have fun fishing in Shalimar, book a trip with Rebellious Fish Company.

Depending on the season, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Scamp Grouper, Almaco Jack, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, and plenty more.

On these trips, it's common to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

Capt. Amstutz runs a 28' Center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

You can't go wrong when you bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Fishing with Captain Josh

4 Hour Trip — The Warm Up on May 24, 2025

The four of us went out May 24,2025 and from the beginning at 07:00 it was a fabulous day. First was the pleasant boat ride across bay to a location by Crab Island where we caught live bait which was fun. Then out to open waters of the Gulf. Captain Josh had us on fish immediately and by 10:00 we had caught our limit of Red Snapper plus several other good size fish. This was my tenth off shore fishing trip in the last eight years but this was probably the most fun.

6 Hour Trip — Multispecies on May 26, 2025

Left the harbor around 7, caught bait for an hour, then went to the spot. Captain had us consistently catching for a couple hours before we hit our limit in red snapper with a few other species mixed in. Crew and equipment were great. The boat is great with some shade available. Twin 300hp motors got us out and back quickly. Would recommend and plan to be a repeat customer.

Outstanding Day on the Water

8 Hour Trip — Multispecies on July 11, 2025 • 2 adults

Cap Josh and First Mate Nick are first class all the way. It was an enjoyable day on the water. We didn't catch anything worth talking about, but we were pulling in fish all day. Crew went above and beyond to put us on fish. Great equipment and fast, comfortable boat. Will definitely book again when we are in the area.

Went out and absolutely smacked them

5 Hour Trip — Multispecies on June 19, 2025 • 5 adults

We caught a wide variety of fish from the time we started to the end. When things started to slow down in one spot we moved to the next and kept the energy up and the action going. Our group was a mix of fishing experience levels and it was still fun for everyone nobody was left out to dry.
