Throughout the year, Get The Gaff offers a range of fishing opportunities in the gulf of Mexico, bays, inshore, as well as taking you offshore for some more extreme game fishing. Raised in Louisiana, but having moved to Destin as a teenager, Captain Bankston Taylor is well adept at fishing the Gulf and is desperate to share his passion with you.
You'll drift along the waters aboard a spacious 26' Robalo center console, allowing for 360-degree vision when fishing, as well as plenty of room to tug and swing when trying to reel in a big one. The boat is powered by brand new twin Yamaha 150 HP engines, so you'll have no problem getting right out to the heart of the ocean whilst the fishfinder on board will make sure you're at the sweetest spots for fishing sought-after Grouper, Amberjack, Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and even wahoo. Get the Gaff also offers daytime Sword fishing trips if the weather permits!
Outriggers are fitted to maximize your chances of catching as many fish as possible, while you'll be using, Penn, and Shimano rods and reels to try and hook them in. Brand new carbon fiber Shimano bent buts with new Shimano Tyrnos II reels, Talica 50 or electric deep drop, to reel in the big ones. Fish for live bait at the beginning of the trip, and have some extra bait on the boat. As the waters are so diverse, you can use almost any technique to reel 'em in, such as drift fishing, bottom fishing, jigging, spinning, trolling, and even gigging for Flounder. Get the Gaff has everything from light tackle to the best heavy tackle you could need.

Taylor and Easton were great. Taylor did a great job giving us a breakdown on what the plan was and it was right in line with what we wanted to do. We caught several Tuna and a Spanish mackerel trolling and caught some giant Greater amberjack and Jack Crevalle on a shipwreck. We even got to see a shark come up and unfortunately help his self to a big Cobia we had on. Highly recommend captain Taylor!

What an incredible fishing trip! We had an amazing time on the water, and the highlight of the day was landing an awesome 6-foot bull shark! It was an unforgettable experience with great memories, plenty of excitement, and an outstanding crew. Can’t wait to come back and do it again. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an adventure!

This one hands down the best thing to do while on vacation. The whole family had fish in the boat and the team that we had putting us on the fish 100% knew what they were doing and we had the ice box full of tuna by the time our 6 hour trip was over!! i highly recommend the 6 hour tip to anyone whom is thinking about getting out on the water to catch some good fish.

awesome trip. weather didnt want to cooperate with us so we had to stay near shore due to wave size but boy did we catch them. had a boat full of mackerel and sashimi grade tuna by 10. then went caught our own bait and slayed some trophy amberjack. even caught a tagged amberjack to finish off our trip. it was one for the books for sure. cant complain about the 5 days of lunch and dinner for 3 people as well. would definitely reccomend captain taylor and his cousin to everyone ! cant wait to get back out there

We booked with these guys due to another charter canceling with us and we are glad he did! This was a wonderful experience for my son! He caught exactly what he wanted and couldn’t have been happier! I was born in Louisiana and raised on tugboats. I started fishing and driving boats from a very young age with my grandfather who taught me most of what I know. So I was raised on the water and I've been going out into the Gulf for the past 25 years. When I was a young teen I moved to Destin and started working on sport fishing boats as a deckhand and learning to drive those. I have been driving a center console for the past three years and have really enjoyed it. I love seeing the enjoyment on people's faces when I take them out fishing. I am so thankful for being able to fish all the time and, most of all, doing something that I love and am very passionate about every day! I have spent two years rebuilding my boat and now have two 150 HP Yamaha outboard engines with a Minkota Terrova trolling motor for the best fishing experience.
