These waters are known for Bonito, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Roosterfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You're welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be fishing aboard a 36' Luhrs sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Enrique will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Bottled water and ice will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

8 Hour Trip on December 9, 2025 • 6 adultsWas supposed to have this boat Yamicia 4 then got changed to a beater boat. He sent me very misleading pictures of the replacement boat . See pics. Bait and switch. No fish, no fun. They just dragged around dead bait for seven hours. Nada! We cut the trip short by one hour of a 8 hr. trip. The only highlight of the trip was some snorkeling. Go with Burton charters he was great.

Hi David, The supplied snacks and the beers it doesn’t include!!! That is why I specified in the message that you need to provide it yourselves; if you want me to buy the supplies, you just pay the cost. There was a hurricane nearby, and the fishing wasn't very active—that’s why the deckhand was up top with me looking for fish, and I would also go down to check that everything was okay. We caught four bonitos. You have to remember is fishing not catching! Have a good day.
