Yamaica III (Sportfishing Vallarta) has been in the business for 30 years. Captain Enrique inherited the family business from his father and plans to continue on the legacy for many years to come. Running trips are Captain Jose Lopez and his bilingual crew. They love taking guests out to explore not only the epic fishing on offer, but the beautiful nature that surrounds Puerto Vallarta too!

    4 Hour Trip (AM) • 5 adults • 2 children

    My sons wanted to take their sons (6 & 5) salt water fishing for the first time. I found Captain Enrique and his mate Rigo on Fishfinder. The boat was the Yamaica IV (same as the Yamaica III in the advert but painted blue). we booked the 4 hour bay fishing trip because we were’nt sure how the boys would like it. they had the time of their lives once the fish started biting and we reeled in 18 nice sized bonitos! The crew was awesome and three generations had a memorable experience!

    Slow Fishing but Great Crew

    8 Hour Trip • 4 adults

    8-hour big game trip week of Christmas. Nothing biting out past the bay but we picked up a mahi and 3 bonito on the way in. Captain and first mate provided great service, very friendly and accomodating. Fresh ceviche was delicious! Overall it was a relaxing day on the boat cranking some tunes and the crew worked hard to put us on fish. I’d book them again.

    good day on the water

    8 Hour Trip • 5 adults

    good day on the water. fishing was slow but thats fishing. on the run in we found a school of skip jack which was some good action. caught a nice sized jack crevalle which was fun! boats comfortable but very slow 10-11 kts so it takes a couple of hours to get outside the bay. this was my third time using this charter company. first time we caught 9 mahi. second time 2 sailfish.

    What a great day of catching fish!!!

    6 Hour Trip (AM) • 5 adults

    We started out slow, but then the dolphins started hanging around the boat! After that it was catching the rest of the day! We caught 14 fish and took them to a nearby restaurant for lunch! The captain and crew were amazing!!!

    Not great weather and we STILL caught fish

    There was a storm coming in and we still managed to catch several Bonito, a mackerel and a shark! Not bad at all considering the weather!
