Able Fisherman Charters offers a variety of fishing trips out of Panama City, Florida. Join Captain Steve Paul for some of the best fishing around, whether you're a novice angler or someone with years of experience in the sport.
You'll be fishing from his 45' Chris Craft offshore sportfishing boat that runs on twin 475 HP Detroit Diesel engines. The boat features a full range of electronics and safety equipment as well as a private head, an icebox, and a livewell for bait storage.
Capt. Steve offers a selection of fishing techniques for you to choose from when targeting the species of your choice. You'll have light and heavy tackle, and everything you need to troll, bottom fish, spin, and jig your way to your perfect fishing experience.
These are some of the richest waters around, so there's always something you can target. The crew specializes in nearshore and offshore fishing, which means you'll be fishing for the likes of Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Snapper, Amberjack, and more.
Rods, reels, and terminal tackle all come included in the price of any given trip. All trips are family and child-friendly, with fishing licenses for everyone on board covered. The only thing left for you to do is pack a pair of polarized sunglasses along with some drinks and snacks if you want, and get ready to make some fishing memories.

Our trip with Able Fisherman Charters in Panama City, Florida was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we stepped onto the boat, we knew we were in for something special. Captain Steve is professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming, but I have to give a special shoutout to Matt, the deckhand, who truly made the experience unforgettable.
Matt was absolutely amazing with our children. His patience, humor, and enthusiasm kept them engaged and excited the entire time. He took the time to explain everything to them, from how to bait a hook to reeling in their very first fish. Watching their faces light up with each catch was priceless, and Matt celebrated every single moment with them like it was his own.
The trip was perfectly organized, and we caught more fish than we ever expected! The boat was clean and well-equipped, and the crew's experience and passion for what they do really shined through. It wasn’t just a fishing trip, it was a family memory that we’ll cherish forever.

Had the pleasure of taking my 18 year old son out on his fist charter with Captain Steve today. I chose this boat becuase of the boat type with this being his first time out and it did not dissapoint!!!! Captain Steve and his crew were awesome even while we were trying to out run the bottle nose dolphins that we were feeding with every chatch we had for 2 hours. We put fish in the cooler and had a blast doing it!!!!

This fishing trip was our family's favorite part of our entire vacation!
The captain Steve, and deckhand Matt knew right where the fish were!
Informative, fun and extremely helpful.
We were fish on from the start!
We were able to get our fish cleaned and filleted at the dock & they recommended a local restaurant 'J Michaels' across the street. Where we brought our fillets in & had a family style dinner right then.
All in all, an amazing experience!
Next time we use their expertise, we will book the longer trip for sure!

Great Day with my Son and Grandsons

I booked a 4 hour charter for my son and my two grandsons, ages 7 and 8.
I wanted them to have a great 1st experience and they did. We ‘bottom fished’ and we came home with a cooler full of fish and some great memories. To hear the 7 year old describe the day to his mom was worth every penny.

Full Day Trip on September 27, 2025 • 4 adults • 1 child
Sept 27th, four adults and one 12 year old had a great time on the Able One Charter Boat. We caught a lot of fish. First Mate Matt was awesome with my grandson. He made sure all of us we baited and lines in the water at all times. My line would drop and I immediately was reeling in Trigger, Vermillion, Red Grouper and a few other assorted fish.
