Surfside Beach has a fish with your name on it, so let Quest Carters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Paul can tell you all about them. Trips are priced to get you out on the water, please remember a 20% gratuity is general practice in the charter fishing industry.
Amberjack, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Broomtail Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Scorpionfish, Blacktip Shark, Red Snapper, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the season.
On these trips, it’s common to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll be casting lines from a 35' Center console with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
