Hey there, I'm Capt. Karty, and I've been providing private charters since 1991. I still get pumped up for my anglers and feel lucky to have a career I love.

Mosquito Lagoon is just south of New Smyrna Beach, about an hour from Orlando on Florida's east coast. I've had my Merchant Mariner Credentials from the US Coast Guard since '91, and I have held a Special Use Permit from the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge for over fifteen years.

I love my boat! It’s a 19-foot tunnel hull that skims right over the water and gets us where we need to go. My boat accommodates up to 4 passengers comfortably. 

Fishing the Lagoon and backwaters is more active than offshore fishing and you won't get seasick!  Depending on the season, we might also run into some Black Drum, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Tarpon, and Tripletail.

I love helping families create unforgettable memories and novices sharpen their skills while enjoying the thrill of fishing.  I provide everything you need except sunglasses, sunscreen, beverages, and snacks.
