You'll target your catch by jigging. Capt. Jon will bring you aboard a 25' SportCraft with space for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Moving spots when we weren't catching anything to keep us active and engaged! Weather was cold but we still managed would recommend him for a guide to anyone and everyone in the future. I know we'll be using him again! Great trip for me and the kids!

We had a limit of walleye and he cleaned and packaged the fish. There were four of us fishing plus the captain. We all agreed we would book him again.

5 Hour Morning Detroit River Trip on April 27, 2025 • 3 adultsCaptain Mike and Jon split the boat… So it creates great flexibility for being able to go out consistently. On this adventure we had captain Mike…there was a recent cold front that caused the fishing to be a little challenging, but he was working with some of his captain friends who helped us find fish, and we had a blast. He’s just a fun guy to hang out with on the boat. My son had a ball. He even let him help clean the fish and taught him how to use an electric fillet knife. My son thought it was super cool.

Captain was fantastic, wind was pretty significant but captain Jon kept us vertical and jigging at all times. Found walleye in all the spots he took us! Equipment he provided was great and we had a fantastic time on the river. Have taken other charters, this was by far the best. Marina his boat is at has plenty of parking and very clean restrooms.

Jon is an awesome guide he had us on the walleye all morning. His boat was perfect with high sidewalls and stocked with everything needed for catching fish. My son and I both caught our first walleye’s!
