You're likely to fish for Amberjack, Bluefish, Skipjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Black Seabass, Blacktip Shark, Blackfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, and more if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
CJ Sportfishing is a child-friendly charter service, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 32' Center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish for Gulf Stream Charters (or upon request). Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Bottled water is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

i told captain thomas i wanted to catch a mahi. he said no promises but we will try, and he gave me a bunch of info on what we will have to do to find them. based off everything he was telling me, it gave me lots of faith that i was gonna catch the fish of my dreams. and so we get out on the water, and my very first fish of the day was my mahi mahi. and oh buddy i coulda left right after i reeled it in bc that alone made my trip. well we obviously stayed out and caught hella fish. i am definitely coming back to take a boys trip with ya hopefully within the next couple months!!

We had a great trip! We combined trolling and bottom fishing to catch a ton of fish. They are great with kids and know what they are doing. I would not hesitate to book with them again!!!
We had an enjoyable day with Tom. We did a little trolling and structure fishing. Caught a nice gag grouper, Black Sea bass and very nice triggers. Weather cooperated, seas were nice as we moved from spot to spot. Disappointed we didn’t book longer than an eight hour trip. Thanks

Captain Tom was great and got is on the fish in short order! Great expericed Captain the boat was fantastic. Caught many different species of fish. I will be booking him in the future without a doubt. Do yourself a favor and do the same!
