Oilfield Outkasts knows that offshore fishing isn't for the faint of heart. It gives you the chance to test yourself and find out just how tough you are by getting hooked up on some big fish! Targeting a variety of big game fish in the deep waters out of Freeport, Texas, the team can customize its trips to suit every individual who comes aboard one of their boats.
You will be fishing aboard the Revelry, a 27' ProKat center console boat that is perfect for tackling the offshore waters. This boat is spacious and has more room to fish than most center consoles because there is walking space and seating in the front of the boat, not only in the back.
Powered by two big 200 HP engines, the boat will get you to the fishing spots fast, and its catamaran hulls make it seaworthy. With a T-top for shade and a multimedia system on board, the boat will provide an enjoyable base for a day out on the water. It is also fully equipped with outriggers to help you bring in the big ones.
Every trip with the crew is different, although what unites them is that you will have fun and catch big fish. Targeting Red Drum, King Mackerel, Shark, Snapper (seasonally), and many other species, tell the crew what you want to catch and it will do its best to make it happen. We knew by reading the reviews this was the charter we wanted to experience and they did not disappoint. They exceeded our expectations. Captain James and Matt did an amazing job. They even helped us catch a shark which was what I wanted. Be ready to activate your core and arms when catching a shark. They both shared fun facts which we love fun facts and were very knowledgeable. We felt safe and comfortable with them. We will definitely be fishing with them again. I highly recommend Oilfield Outkasts!!!

When the bite slowed, the guides didn’t waste time — they moved us to new spots and put us right back on the fish. The crew was knowledgeable, attentive, and great with kids, making the trip fun and stress-free. 8 Hour Trip on August 5, 2025 • 6 adultsI did not know where to expect after having a different charter cancel on us within 24 hours of our trip. We chose OutKast out of desperation to find a trip for my son‘s 16th birthday. Little did we know we would have the time of our life and catch more fish than we would’ve expected. I misfortune with the other charter turned into probably the greatest birthday for my son.. we were culling big sharks just due to the sheer amount of meat that we were gonna have to bring home and deal with. If you want to fill your freezer Call the guys oilfield outcasts charters. Captain David on the revelry kept us on fish all day long. Highly recommend these guys.

Captain was chasing down fish like they owed him money. I would not hesitate to use O2 and I have used five other charters out of Galveston and this one out of Freeport. 8 Hour Trip on November 6, 2022 • 6 adultsDeep-sea fishing was a bucket list item for my dear friends. I was very nervous about going, but Captain James made the experience very enjoyable. He is knowledgeable about the fish being caught, how to be successful with catching them and was very helpful when trying to land them. You can tell that all the Captains are close and have great communication. We could hear the excitement in the other captains voices with all of the catches that were happening on all the other boats. We caught so many fish and had such a great time. We began to feel a little sick after being out for an hour. Captain James pick right up on it and brought us in toward the shore so we could get some breeze in our face and get another dose of meclizine down. We fished near the shore and caught a ton of large red drum. We all began to perk up and feel better and we went back out again looking for red snapper (which we found). We also found a 6-7 foot black tip shark. What a thrill and amazing experience. We definitely will try it again and without a doubt use Oulfield OutKasts again.

Booked trip two weeks out and Captain was great with communication. He monitored weather and ensured I could take my boys out deepseafishing for thier first time. Went out 7 miles and weather was great. Captain and deck hand will bait, castout. My boys got to reel them in. Great 1st experience!! Highly recommended for first time fishers. Note: get bonus bulldrum tags. We caught our limit quick (good thing). Don't overdue it with snacks..not going to eat them.

8 Hour Trip on April 16, 2022 • 4 adultsWe had an excellent trip. Captain James put us right on top of the redfish first thing in the morning. We caught our limit within an hour. Went out further to try and get some snapper. No luck on snapper but we caught some catfish and sharks. Finished off the day catching and releasing more redfish. Overall we caught about 30 redfish between 20 and 30 lbs. Captain James was very personable, had great music and put us on some great fishing.

The 5 hour trip was perfect for the people that came with me. We got a bit of every type of fishing in. The TS kind of messed up some of what they had been catching - but we caught tons of gafftop and several types of sharks. Landed a ton of red snapper, but just one keeper on those. Crew was great. Get to go home with fish and sore arms - could not ask for more ;)

I was laid off in May 2016 from the oilfield and at the same time, my son was also diagnosed with cancer. I immediately had to find an alternative resource for my family to survive. I've had 'Revelry' (my 27' Catamaran) since 2012 and figured that I must sell her to make ends meet until I found another job. My wife told me that I should put the boat to work with my love of fishing. I had met Captain Scott at a networking mixer in the Woodlands while we both still worked in the oilfield. He had his captain's license so we talked about chartering the boat, although, at the time I didn't really care much for the idea because I didn't want to lose my love of fishing. However, it didn't take long after my wife convinced me to get to work. In the first 5 months of 2016, we fished with over 1,000 customers. We now have 6 boats in the fleet!! I am a USCG and state of Texas licensed guide, a certified Weighmaster (IGFA/state record certification), and Texas Director of Saltwater Tournaments.
