Oilfield Outkasts - Revelry

1011 Casko Road
Freeport TX, United States

Oilfield Outkasts knows that Offshore fishing isn’t for the faint of heart. Capt. Rodney and Capt. Scott are giving you the chance to test yourself and find out just how tough you are by getting hooked up on some big fish! Targeting a variety of big game fish in the deep waters offshore from Freeport, Texas, the team will custom build their trips to suit every individual who comes aboard his boat.

You will be fishing aboard the ‘Revelry’, a 27 ft ProKat that is perfect for tackling the offshore waters. Although it measures under 30 ft, this boat is very spacious and has more room to fish than most center consoles. Powered by two big 200 HP engines, the boat will get you to the fishing spots fast, and its catamaran hulls make it very seaworthy. With a T-top for shade and a multimedia system on board, it will provide an enjoyable base for a day out on the water, and it is fully rigged with outriggers and downriggers to help you bring in the big ones.

Every trip with Oilfield Outkasts is different, although what unites them is that you will have fun and catch big fish. Targeting Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sharks, King Mackerel, Snapper (including Red Snapper), Tuna and many other species, tell them what you want to catch and they will do their best to make it happen.

**Please note that we will be sending an email after you book, so please check spam/junk folder!**

About the Captain

Rodney Harper
Freeport, Texas, United States
Member since May 2016
Laid off in May of 2016 from the oilfield, I immediately had to find a resource for my family to survive and my son was also diagnosed with cancer. I had "Revelry" (my 27' Catamaran) since 2012, and figured that I must sell her to make ends meet until i found another job. My wife told me that I should put the boat to work with my love of fishing. I had met Captain Scott at a networking mixer in the Woodlands while we both still worked in the oilfield. We talked of chartering the boat as he had his Captain's license. I never really cared a whole lot for the idea because I didn't want to lose my love of fishing. It didn't take long, after Shana told me to get to work, that Scott and I met to lay it all out. The first 5 months of 2016 we fished over 1000 customers. We have since added 4 more boats. I am a USCG licensed and Texas Licensed guide in the state of Texas. I am also a certified Weighmaster (IGFA and state record certification) and a Texas Director of Saltwater Tournaments

Wolves on the water.. And when they’re in a fleet they’re a reconnaissance pack of wolves but today these alpha dog captains working together Mike and Rodney where the shot callers this morning they don’t need any help.
Limited out on targeted species in 30 min with a monster man eating bull shark, blacktips and big bull reds then fished catch and release the rest of the morning.

Thank you Mike & Rodney, Mark my words in two weeks time I’ll be expecting an even bigger set of forearms and deeper bruise in my hip. These guys will teach you somthing you can’t learn on the discovery channel.

Crew went extra mile to do their best to ensure we came home with our fish.

Changes in weather and water clarity put the crew to work hard to coax the bite, no shortage on effort and professionalism from these guys and their fleet. Their was no chatter on the radios or visual of any other boats on the water catching but plenty of bait fish and marking fish on sonar. We had some hook ups, and a couple decent fish get off. Overall, I’d recommend this group to anyone and will be back to fish with them soon, hopefully the storms will relax and bring the clarity back, that’ll be a great day with these guys.
