Oilfield Outkasts - Revelry

1011 Casko Road
Freeport TX, United States

Offshore fishing isn’t for the faint of heart, and Capt. Rodney and Capt. Scott are giving you the chance to test yourself and find out just how tough you are by getting hooked up on some big fish. Targeting a variety of big game fish in the deep waters offshore from Freeport, Texas, the team will custom build their trips to suit every individual who comes aboard his boat.

You will be fishing aboard the ‘Revelry’, a 27 ft ProKat that is perfect for tackling the offshore waters. Although it measures under 30 ft, this boat is very spacious and has more room to fish than most center consoles. Powered by two big 200 HP engines, the boat will get you to the fishing spots fast, and its catamaran hulls make it very seaworthy. With a T-top for shade and a multimedia system on board, it will provide an enjoyable base for a day out on the water, and it is fully rigged with outriggers and downriggers to help you bring in the big ones.

Every trip with Oilfield Outkasts is different, although what unites them is that you will have fun and catch big fish. Targeting Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sharks, King Mackerel, Snapper (including Red Snapper), Tuna and many other species, tell them what you want to catch and they will do their best to make it happen.

Laid off in May of 2016 from the oilfield, I immediately had to find a resource for my family to survive and my son was also diagnosed with cancer. I had "Revelry" (my 27' Catamaran) since 2012, and figured that I must sell her to make ends meet until i found another job. My wife told me that I should put the boat to work with my love of fishing. I had met Captain Scott at a networking mixer in the Woodlands while we both still worked in the oilfield. We talked of chartering the boat as he had his Captain's license. I never really cared a whole lot for the idea because I didn't want to lose my love of fishing. It didn't take long, after Shana told me to get to work, that Scott and I met to lay it all out. The first 5 months of 2016 we fished over 1000 customers. We have since added 4 more boats. I am a USCG licensed and Texas Licensed guide in the state of Texas. I am also a certified Weighmaster (IGFA and state record certification) and a Texas Director of Saltwater Tournament

Went out with Capt Rodney Chapman.  Party of four.  Seas fairly rough, windy, and cool, but managed to get 11 keeper snapper, two sandtrout, and a large Jack Cravelle.  We could have stayed and caught more, but a couple of people in our party were seasick.  Good trip.  Will do again.

Caught our limit of Red Snapper and a few catfish. The crew was very attentive and kept our hooks baited as well as tips on fishing technique for the area. Highly recommended.

Had a great time, they were able to get me in the trip last second, before we left the captain said “Were going to go fish for snapper.” And that’s exactly what we did. He knew exactly where to go and right away we started getting bites and catching fish!
