Olivia J Charters offers fishing trips based out of Freeport, Texas. Captain Rodney Chapman will get you fishing the Gulf nearshore and offshore waters, and will work hard to ensure you have a fantastic and fun day out on the water.
Step aboard his 29' Pro Sports ProKat center console with T-top, which comes powered by two brand new Suzuki DF 175 4 stroke outboard motors to get you to the fishing action in no time. This vessel boasts ample space for up to six anglers, and provides a stable and secure fishing platform from all areas of the deck. It comes equipped with GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, live bait tank, ice box to keep your drinks ice cold and your catch fresh, as well as a toilet for your comfort.
Olivia J Charters offers shared half day trips, as well as private half or full day trips, and Capt. Rod will be happy to show you the most productive methods to reel in your target species. Techniques include fishing with light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling and drift fishing, and depending on conditions and the time of year you fish, you may find yourself chasing after Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Cobia, Shark, Jack Crevalle, Red Snapper, Redfish, Black Drum, and more. Trips include rods, reels and tackle, live bait, lures, as well as cleaning and filleting of your catch at the end of the day. Fuel is included in the price. Not included is food, drink and fishing licenses. You can obtain liceses online or at other local retailers like Academy.

We had an awesome time on this fishing trip! Captain Rodney was super cool, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was having a great time from start to finish. We caught black tip & bonnethead head sharks, barracuda, red snapper & catfish. He also cleaned and filleted all of our catches for us, making it easy to take everything home and enjoy. I highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a fun and successful day on the water.

Rodney and Ethan were such a delight. They are so knowledgable and was so attentive. Ready to help when needed!! WE WILL BE BACK!! IT WAS A WONDERFUL DAY. Rodney and Ethan, thank you so much. Anyone would love this trip! I would suggest at least 7 and that if they are mature and have patience. We caught our limit of fish and then Ethan cleaned them for us!! It was a great day. If you have never road in the ocean on a boat, use dremamine before you get on the boat. One guy is our group was so sea sick, it was no fun for him. He was literally green at the gills!!

We caught a spanish macrel and lots of red snapper and was about to keep some to bring home. Rodney and Ethan were great guides and were very understanding when our kids didn’t feel the best. Wiuld definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fun time!
