These waters are known for Flounder, Tautog, Rockfish, Sheepshead, Bluefish, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before 'Fish on!' During the trip you might be spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to keep 'em happy!
Captain Ben welcomes you aboard a 26' Haines Fabrication aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Took 2 of my grandkids (ages 5 and 7) out today with Captain Ben and it was a big hit. We caught about 10-12 fish; all different kind so it was a lot of fun for the kids. Capt. Ben was great with the kids and I highly recommend him and this fishing adventure. The 2 hour trip was perfect and the weather cooperated. Thanks Captain Ben- I will be back with more of my grandkids! PS- I went with Captain Ben because he 14/14 "5 stars" and he did NOT disappoint! He now has 15/15 "5 stars". Jim
My wife and I had an awesome 2‑hour charter with Captain Ben and First Mate Garrett. We caught flounder, seabass, and a handful of other fish, and these guys made the whole experience top‑tier. They were patient, knowledgeable, and great teachers. The vibe was relaxed, fun, and perfect for a quick getaway on the water. Pricing was very reasonable, and we’d absolutely recommend this crew to anyone looking for a great day of fishing.
My family booked a 2-hour fishing trip with Captain Ben. The weather on our original day wasn't ideal (it was super windy) and Captain Ben communicated with us right away and recommended rescheduling for the following day when conditions would be better. We really appreciated his excellent communication, and judgement because the next day was beautiful! On the day of the trip, Captain Ben and his friend (sorry, I can't remember his name!) were both wonderful. They were patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Ben even built his boat, which is so cool!! We visited three different fishing spots and everyone caught several fish throughout the trip. It was obvious that both of them have a great understanding of the ocean and the different species of fish in the area. They took the time to share their knowledge and made the experience enjoyable for everyone on board. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Captain Ben to anyone looking for a fun and successful fishing trip!

We had a gret time with Captain Ben. This was the first time doing something like this and it was a great experience. Captain Ben is aesome and great with the kids (9 and 6 yrs old) and helped them catch some togs and toad fish. We did the 2 hr trip and it went fast with the all the action! Can't wait until next time!

Kids had so much fun fishing with Captain Ben and his crew mate. They were extremly helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Captain Ben was very accomodating to our 2 boys. Would love to do a longer fishing trip with captain Ben the next time we are back in town.
