Finatic Sportfishing
Get ready for a fun and relaxed 5-hour Bay adventure with Finatic Sportfishing Charters, combining crabbing and light tackle fishing in productive inshore waters.
Trip time runs from 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM, giving you an early start when the water is at its best. You’ll be setting crab traps and hauling in fresh catch, with a maximum of one bushel of crabs per trip, along with the chance to hook into Flounder and whatever else is biting that day.
This is a light tackle experience, perfect for beginners, families, and anglers who enjoy steady action in calm bay waters. Expect a hands-on, interactive trip where every stop brings something new.
Families are always welcome, and kids love this style of fishing and crabbing. Child-sized life vests may be available upon request, but it’s always a good idea to bring your own if possible. Snacks are also recommended to keep everyone happy throughout the morning.
You’ll be fishing aboard a comfortable 19’ bay boat, accommodating up to 4 passengers and fully equipped with all essential gear. Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, so you can simply step on board and enjoy the trip.
No fishing license is required, making this a hassle-free experience from start to finish. Your captain will also guide you through local regulations and keep you informed about what can be kept and what must be released.
Be sure to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and bottled water. Additional drinks are welcome upon request, but please note that alcohol is not permitted.

Capt. Mark was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was raised in Pasadena. He fished the streams, rivers and tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay from the age of 5, and became increasingly passionate about the outdoors, hunting and fishing, as he grew. While he was at high school, Capt. Mark worked part time on a commercial crabbing boat, pulling pots and culling crabs and becoming ever more fascinated by life on the water. When he was introduced to offshore fishing in his early twenties, Mark was instantly 'hooked', and has been fishing the offshore waters and canyons off Ocean City, Maryland, ever since, for 20 years. Brandon and Carter, Mark's teenage sons, accompany him on charter fishing trips, working as mates on the FINATIC. Mark is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and passion for Sportfishing with everyone who comes aboard.
