Hook up with Captain James for an adventure, fishing out of Ocean City, Maryland. Fish the bay or the waters close to shore. With over three decades of recreational and commercial fishing experience, Capt. James knows the waters like the back of his hand.

The vessel "Too Much" is a 23′ center console. She was built in Hatteras, North Carolina by Tideline designs. She’s a one of a kind, hand-built, custom Carolina design. Her proud bow and sharp entry offer a stable, dry ride even in choppy conditions. Her clean spacious deck provides a secure platform during fishing. She is one comfortable vessel!

Sportfishing East Coast specializes in light tackle, bottom fishing, and fly fishing. Spot, Croakers, Bluefish, Rockfish (Stripers), and Flounder are all available in the bay.

For the thrill of a lifetime, why not try an evening of shark fishing? You can expect to target Sharpnose, Sandbar, and Sand Tigers up to 300 lbs (catch and release only).

Sportfishing East Coast offers a hands-on approach. They like to teach the finer points of the sport, from fishing techniques, and knot tying, to understanding conditions and locating fish.

Bring your family and friends and take to the seas with Capt. James for an adventure you won’t forget!

Your gear, tackle, bait, water, and fishing license are all included in the price. When you return to shore your catch will be cleaned and bagged.  Take your catch home with you and enjoy your fresh fillet for dinner!

Incredible Experience and Great Captain!
Evening Shark Trip 3 hours on July 5, 20264 adults

This trip was really one of the best experiences my friends and I have ever had. Captain James was a wonderful host, really great to talk to, crack jokes with, and super helpful when we were struggling. We caught a shark and a ray, and he even risked some of his equipment to help us get a huge ray! He was super informative too, and really made the trip worthwhile for us. Cannot reccomend enough!

wonderful sharks, sunset, and conversation with Captain James
Evening Shark Trip 3 hours - 6:30 PM on June 24, 20264 adults

Captain James had us out on the water for a wonderful evening. He shared local history and taught us both about the area and how to fish and reel in sharks. He was kind and fun to spend the evening with. He also made sure the sharks were unharmed and easily released. Captain James helped our teen daughters "land" two different sharks - one we got to chase through the waters. Both were beautiful animals. We also got a lovely sunset. Thank you!
