Welcome to Shallow Water Guide Service, Where The Water's Shallow and Our Roots Run Deep!
Captain Eric Young has spent his entire life chasing fish in South Carolina waters, developing a deep connection with the life that calls it home. From an early age, he chased its fish from kayaks and small jon boats, learning the river’s every twist, turn, and hidden honey hole. With unmatched local knowledge and years of experience on the water, Captain Eric brings expert insight and a true love for the water to every fishing trip. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just getting started, his expertise ensures an unforgettable day on the water.
Around here the fishing is popular for Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Flounder. You can catch all sorts of other fish, including Bonnethead Shark, Blacktip Shark, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Ray, Shrimp, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year.
Capt. Eric also guides both Marsh Hen and Waterfowl hunts in the fall and winter. You can check out his website for more info on those services!
Your excursion begins aboard a 17' Aluminum poling skiff that can carry 2 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. All fishing gear needed is provided.
Captain Eric's charter license covers your fishing license, so that is not needed! If you are interested in any hunting adventures, proper licensing is required. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.
