Whittier Marine Charters/Whittier Boat Rental
There's a fish with your name on it in Whittier and Whittier Marine will help you catch it! We are the longest running day charter company in Whittier and you'll benefit from our years of knowledge and experience.
We specialize in large Halibut, but we're happy to personalize the trip. You're likely to fish for Halibut, Salmon, Cod, Rockfish and more. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized..
Our vessels are the nicest in their class and offer warm, heated cabins, clean heads, and plenty of deck space to spread out and reel in the big ones. We have three custom sportfishing vessels that carry six passengers in style and we also offer two rental boats for those who'd rather go unguided. Forget the headaches of the head boats. Join a quaint group of six, or take a boat exclusively for your customized trip of a lifetime. All of our boats are equipped with the latest tackle, and all the essentials, and go beyond USCG requirements with safety gear.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without food, drinks, and fishing licenses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor.
Due to unpredictable fuel prices, we reserve the right to add a fuel surcharge to the price.

We went on two fishing trips. First day was halibut with Chris and Ryan. They knew exactly where to go and worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect. My son caught a 134 pound halibut and grandson caught a 78 pound halibut. The rest of us caught large fish, too. The second day was with Rob and Vincent and they were just as excellent. We fished for cod and rockfish. The captain and deck hand work VERY hard to make sure you get your limit, catch fish, and have fun. The boat was very comfortable and roomy so that we were spread out when fishing. This is a top notch outfit, who work hard to ensure you have a great trip, know what they are doing, and where to go.
We had a great trip yesterday with Captains Rob and Chris, saw humpback whales, a pod of orcas, porpoise's, sea otters, and we all caught a decent halibut. The crew was fantastic and the weather was great. Misty in the am but turned sunny. Wow, what views.
great fishing, people,scenary,conversation memories made

fantastic time everybody filled their halibut stamp and took home a ton of cod on top of that. us
Whittier, Alaska, United States
Fishing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I've spent most of my life around boats and have over 26 years of experience on Alaskan waters. In addition to charter boats, I often operate larger vessels in the offseason. I spend a lot of time on the water. Salmon Sharks are probably my favorite Alaskan species because of their uniqueness, but I love the challenge of finding nice Halibut consistently as well as chasing all of the other fish species native to Alaska and elsewhere.
