There's a fish with your name on it in Whittier and Whittier Marine will help you catch it! With and experienced captain at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
These waters are known for Chinook Salmon, Chum Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll using light tackle. We also offer fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Whittier Marine welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Children 12 and under will need to wear one while onboard. Feel free to bring your own snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll step aboard a 39' Fibercraft sportfishing vessel with space for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a clean toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Anyone 16 and under will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This is easily available online at the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game license store. A King Salmon stamp is needed if targeting Chinook.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Whittier Marine will make it easy for you to go fishing in Whittier. So, how about booking that trip?
