Sea Breeze – Fishing Mako 28
If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Tamarindo, we've got you covered with the Mako 28.
Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Marlin, Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Any fish within the legal limit are yours to keep. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home and throw it right into the pan.
Children are welcome, so bring them onto the water!
We operate a 28' Mako center console with room for 5 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. We will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
A first mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly and take care of yours and your family's needs.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip online. We will send you the link to purchase them. Some species are protected so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, hats and sunscreen (non-spray please). There will be drinks offered but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles if possible. There will be food and some light snacks included on board as well.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with the Mako 28!

We had an amazing day fishing with Julien and Noah. The crew is truly outstanding: very professional, disciplined, and incredibly knowledgeable about the best fishing spots. You can immediately tell they know the area extremely well. One thing we really appreciated is that the crew speaks three languages, which made communication easy and enjoyable for everyone on board. The boat itself is very comfortable, clean, and well equipped, making the entire experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic day on the water, perfectly organized, relaxed, and fun. We highly recommend this fishing boat and crew to anyone looking for a high-quality and memorable fishing experience

Thank you so much Emma for choosing us for your fishing excursion in Tamarindo! We are thrilled to read you loved your experience with us and we really appreciate you taking the time yo leave us a review ! We hope to see you again on the water with us soon !

Went out with Julien and his first mate yesterday. We were on their 28' mako boat. Jules was very friendly and worked extremely hard trying to land fish for us. We caught a few and saw a few but didn't land any roosters. But hey that's fishing. Boat was clean with brand new twin Yamaha's I would book with these guys again IF they would upgrade thier gear All was great but if you are a new fisherman the gear they have to fish is very very challenging Please spend a few bucks and get new reels and rods!! Cheers. All in all a good day Thanks Julien

Peter, thank you again for coming fishing with us ! We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. To clarify for future guests, the rods and reels available during your trip were as follows: 2 x Penn International 50 (2) 1 x Penn International 30 1 x Shimano SpeedMaster 25 1 x Shimano TLD 30 1 x Shimano TLD 25 2 × Penn Battle 6000 1 × Daiwa BG 5000 1 × Daiwa Free Swimmer 10000 1 × Daiwa Saltist conventional Some of the equipment is brand new, while some has been in use, but all gear is well maintained and in proper working condition. As one of the few hands-on charter where guests are encouraged to handle the rods and actively fish, we make it a priority to have a full range of functional and reliable equipment on board. It's also worth noting that saltwater fishing gear is inherently heavier and more robust than freshwater/lake equipment in the great lakes of Canada, even at high quality levels, due to the size and strength of the species targeted. We understand that you may be accustomed to specific or top-tier setups at home, and for that reason, we are always happy for guests to bring their own preferred gear if they have particular expectations. We're very glad to hear you still had a great day on the water and hope you had a great rest of your vacation 🎣🐟

we caught multiple tuna and a yellow fin tuna. Salassio made us sushimi (which was amazing) we took the rest and ate it for dinner! They worked hard to get us what we wanted and were super friendly. 10/10 recomend. i will be back!

Luke, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review - it was a pleasure to have you both on board and we are happy to read that you loved it ! We look forward to your next vist in Tamarindo to go fish together again :)!

Best 4 hour charter you could ask for!! Caught some delicious tuna (which was served on the boat), saw some amazing marine life (turtles, manta rays, sea snakes), and caught/released a big sailfish! Unforgettable experience! Thank you guys!

Captain Noah has plenty of experience on sea. With his family, he worked on various boats and he spent the last 10 years working on boats in Tamarindo. In 2018, he and his girlfriend Darcy decided to start Sea Breeze Fishing & Adventures. Darcy is also the boat's first mate and speaks English, Spanish, and French. They're in love with the beautiful local nature, the variety of fish species and multiple types of fishing grounds available in the area and can't wait to share it all with you!
