Picture the sun just starting to rise as we clear the jetty heading out. The salty air just adds to the anticipation. Out there somewhere those fish are waiting. Let's get those lines in the water, there's a bite coming any moment. Grab your gear and go fishing! Life's about experiences. Let's go make some.

Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Albacore Tuna, Halibut, Black Seabass, Lingcod, and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go.

Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Kids are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, we have one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites and drinks for a boost of energy when needed!

You'll be dropping lines from a 27' North River Offshore Aluminum fishing boat with capacity for 6 fishermen and crew. The boat has an enclosed cabin for your comfort and comes with all of the safety essentials.

Your captain will provide top quality rods and reels well suited for the species sought, along with lures and tackle. Bait is included,

Ask about adding crabbing to your trip. Dungeness crab is delicious and pulling pots is always exciting.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. If crabbing a crustacean tag will be necessary.

A few items to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Newport Oregon Sportfishing!

Great Day of Fishing!
Halibut on July 7, 20262 adults1 child

We asked Captain Bob if we could catch salmon and halibut in the same trip so that we could send our two favorite fish back to Texas. He got us on both quickly and we even got a nice lingcod, petrole sole, and 4 different types of rockfish. Can’t wait for next year!

Reported catch:
Halibut
Lingcod
Response from Captain
