This was our first ocean fishing trip and Captain Bob was Amazing! He took us out and got us in the perfect spot. We were catching fish within the first couple minutes! We also went for the crabbing as well and his pots were full! We hit our fish and crab limit faster than we were expecting. They will filet your fish, and cook your crab for you right at the docks when you get back, highly recommend bringing a cooler. The boat was in great shape and had plenty of room for us, Captain Bob supplied all the gear and bait needed. Captain Bob was knowledgeable and taught us how to use the reels, and also haul in the crab pots.If you are even considering taking this trip, DO IT! The whole experience was great! We can't wait to go again!

you guys were awesome! glad to hear youenjoyed the trip. i did as well
We originally set up an albacore trip, but the seas built-up and we hand to shift to rock fishing. Capt. Bob put us on nice black rockfish and set us up for some killer crab. Limited out on the rockfish and came back with a ton of dungies. First mate Zack was great and the boat was well appointed. The fishing equipment was top notch. Bob was very interesting and was extremely responsive about the trip. Can recommend his charter services more!

we really enjoyed your company and the conversations. hope to see you in the future.
My wife and I host an annual van event in Newport that brings together attendees from across the United States. This year, several participants were interested in going on a crabbing charter, so I found Capt. Bob and booked a trip. The website was very easy to use, making it simple to add or remove guests from the reservation and communicate directly with the captain. From start to finish, Capt. Bob was outstanding. He was professional, personable, patient, and clearly experienced on the water. Our group ended the trip with 25 crabs and one salmon, and the weather could not have been better. Everyone had a great time, and I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a memorable experience. The $100 cost was well worth it, especially since each of us went home with five crabs. We look forward to booking again next year. Thank you, Capt. Bob, for a great trip and excellent crab!

Capt. Bob runs trips out of Newport aboard 27' North River Aluminum fishing. Using bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, and other techniques, you'll have a chance to catch Lingcod, Halibut and Black Seabass. The only way to learn is to join them on the water.
